I started the process of refinancing my home at the beginning of December. They reviewed our documents and said we would qualify for a refinance. They charged $400 for an appraisal, which was performed. After six weeks of submitting document after document, and dealing with 2 different agents, they cancelled our loan request. They said they could not verify my husband's employment. He is employed and also self employed business owner! All of our documents proved it.
