Sallie Mae has pushed "private loans" onto a lot of students and given higher interest rates to parent plus loans with no reduction rates option. In writing, promised 4 %, actual payment came at 8.5%, and asked for unemployment form, not "economic hardship" form as I am long-term unemployed, only to be sent economic hardship form twice, and have it rejected due to the fact that I do not have two recent pay stubs.
