I used a pay phone in the Puerto Vallarta airport. Before I had the call connected, I asked for the rates from the operator. I was quoted 8 cents a minute to Canada. Connection charges were not mentioned. When I returned home, my credit card showed a bill of $100. My credit cared told me to call the customer service #. When I spoke with the customer service rep, he told me that an 8 cent a minute rate did not exist and that the rate was $3.50 a minute, with $17.50 connection fee.
