During the recent hard freeze we had a pipe break in our attic. Plumber showed up and since it was still below freezing the water was frozen at the water meter at the street. I accompanied the plumber and assisted by loaning tools, holding pliers etc. in the cold. He found the leak and replaced a piece of plastic pipe about 12 inches long. Total for his time was $723 including $330.00 for thawing out the pipe even though I helped him do it. The most expensive piece of plastic I've ever seen. I expected a couple hundred dollars but $723 was nothing short of price gouging during a difficult time. read full review »
