Ambit energy entices customers with low per killowatt usage fees and then gradually increases your monthly usage charges by "estimating" usage. With every monthy estimate the charges go up, in effect creating a new and higher usage average. What a scam. then in September when Hurricane Ike hit the city of Galveston they continued billing at the "estimated" monthly rate when all power was off (and still is) I have never had a higher electric bill in 8 years at the same residence as I have with Ambit.
