I experienced a financial hardship one year ago this month and I contacted Countrywide Home Loans as soon as I felt I was going to have a problem. I sent two payments to clear up my default. My next payment was sent by the 15th of the month and then I received a letter stating that they intended to excellerate the loan because payment had not been received.
