I hired David Hornbuckler to perform repairs on my stockaid fence. He quoted the job to be "about" 600 dollars. He asked for a retainer so I wrote him a check for 50 dollars. He came back a few weeks later, when the weather warmed up, and wanted another 200 dollars for supplies so I wrote him a check for this amount. The next day he was at my home making repairs and wanted 150 dollars more for removing plant roots and he said the total remaining amount would be 600 dollars.
