My checking account was used fraudulent, putting me into a negative balance and accruing multiple overdraft fees. I contacted the source of the unauthorized charges and got them to admit the purchases were unauthorized. They refunded my money, but reported that any bank fees would have to be addressed by the bank. I spoke to 3 separate WaMu customer service individuals, who all reported that once the original charges had been dismissed/refunded, then the bank would "forgive" the overdraft fees.
