Not only is Direct TV one of the worst companies to deal with in terms of service- they are rude on top of that. When our receiver stopped working (after 5 months) we had to PAY for shipping for a new one. When I asked the customer service rep why I would have to pay when I was renting their receiver she simply said that "it was very hard to understand if I didn't know how it worked." She also told me that she could see how, "it is frustrating to people who cannot afford it."
