I'm not even a customer of GMAC but yet I received a phone message from the GMAC collections department. The woman who left the message knew my name and my address. Here the call wasn't to try to collect a debt from me, but she wanted me to get in touch with a neighbor and have the neighbor call GMAC because they have a debt with them. Is this legal?
