I had a hot water tank that was returned to the drop off depot in front of two employees at oldcastle, ontario. The customer service told me everything is fine. A few months later I get a bill to pay for the hot water tank rental then I told them it was already returned. I talked to Arline at this company to set up an account to sell my timeshare. She told me that for $ 249.00 I could set up the add. When the paper work came through she charged me $798.00 for something I did not agree to. When i tryed to get hold of her they say they are open till 9pm but no one is around to take the call at 8pm. The most I have ever been charged by other preparers ( including a CPA ) was $125.00. the only difference this year being I had about 40 tools listed on a depreciation tax form. Maybe being safe is not enough to make sure that your information will not be accessible to others. The reason why is that I was recently charged with $49.98 on my checking account and I don’t have any idea where this came from. My bank helped me looking where I can contact the company and when I called them up; they explained that this was a third party offer when I applied for a loan. They even showed me the signature I used. Guess I forgot that or did not read the terms properly.
