Ecost.com is a very poor site to buy products from. You may get a very good price but their return policies prevent you from returning any product even if defective. I purchased a sub zero 601 stand alone freezer unit new in march 2002. The unit was delivered defective. many different problems cropped up over the years. Blown defrost heater coil, ice maker malfunction, outer seal leaks. The unit has been serviced more than 25 times in less than 6 years with an average mean time between failure of approx. 3 mos. I purchased an All in One HP Photosmart C4180 printer from Staples Canada. When my Dell starting slowing down and having a lot of pop up ads, I took it to my local Best Buy. I ordered by phone a 2008 Norton Internet Security upgrade for $57.84 and was charged that on my credit card plus a charge of $42.79 for somethng I never ordered. The ordering procedure took too much time and I have at least ten numbers such as priority, order confirmation numbers and a lot of other e-mail which is to further complicate a rather simple order. After many calls, I cancelled my order and will never use Norton products again. I have a charge of $26.99 on my SPRINT cell phone bill from a CSW? Sprint says they do not know what CSW is. It is a 3rd party fee I have to pay. When I asked the representative " Sprint wants me to pay SPRINT for something they can not tell me what it is'? I purchased an RCA model DRC8335 VCR/DVD unit at Wal-Mart on 12/21/2007 as a gift. It quit working in June of 2008 with both a cassette and a DVD stuck inside. I have placed an online order for this Nikon D700 – Body advertised on the company web site for $1899.00. There are confidential information being reviled to the discretion of the company in hope the order goes through for instance: credit card info, etc. I got en email confirming my order. The next day a representative called up and after realizing that he won’t be able to add/sell anything else simply hang up on me.
