I purchased a HITACHI LCD TV (60V500) in 2004 and in 2006 I started noticing a red glow whenever the screen is blank (between commercials etc). I reported the problem to Hitachi's customer service dept and they told me to try replacing the lamp. I did so but the problem did not go away. Terrible experience with carrier air conditioner warranty services. Company is using third party services for maintenance (Aarkey Eng in Guragaon). Technician visited the place, identified the fault and identified that PCB is faulty and told us an estimated bill of Rs.900/-. When we told him AC is under warranty he said replacement will take 3-4 days due to company procedure. I went in to kmart to look at the digital picture frame and the young man searched for the one I was looking at and he couldn't find one in stock so why would you put something on sale when you don't even have it??? XP Antivirus offered an antivirus package for $49.95 and within minutes charged my Visa card $104.00. I had not finished down-loading it and still haven't. They offered full refund of money, if not satified. So far all I get is either their phone is busy or their e-mail box is full. This a complete fraud. They told me I had 76 viruses and made it seem as if they were representing Windows XP. I had to block my card as the credit card company told me this company keeps charging your card otherwise. I purchased a HP DVD 1040i drive on 10/18/2007. And it has already failed as of last week 5/21/2008. It has a 1 year warranty, now that is a joke. Try calling the numbers they give you, they are in INDIA. Then you are rerouted from here to there asked the same thing over and over( name, phone number, email address, model #, SN #). I believe they are trying to discourage you from perssuing the matter. At this point I would never purchase a HP product again. There support is useless. WESTINGHOUSE: Yes, my issue with Westinghouse was resolved. I had been calling Customer Service for 4+ months. I called 'headquarters' and it was resolved and I got my new, working TV in 4 days. I bought a gateway computer 1997. The mother board crashed which meant it didn't work. Gateway claimed the warranty expired and it was only 6 mos old. We threw out the computer it was useless. I owed 600 dollars we told them we wouldn't pay. I purchased a Toshiba 40RF350U LCD HD TV from American Electronics in Peoria, IL Dec. 20th 2007. I had bought a 2 slot DVD player and surround sound receiver from a Radio Shack store in TX before i moved to TN in 2005. In July of 2006 the tray that rotates between the 3 disc slots broke and would not move or open any DVD slots. I purchased an Ionic Breeze over the Christmas Holiday. The weeks and months of use of the ionic breeze took a toll on me both physically and mentally. I was constantly coming home and cleaning and disinfecting the Ionic Breeze. In the wee hours of the morning on May 27, 2008 my Ionic Breeze became inactive and started a small electrical fire in my upstairs bathroom, leaving reminants of char on my bathroom wall. Convection & regular oven work the same. It doesn't matter what I'm cooking or what temperate & you pay extra for that! The porcelain is so thin it has chipped off at each point the grate touches or rubs. The pullout draw has 2 gauges in the porcelain from screws in the oven door above it.
