I have read other reviews and found 1 thing to be a FACT. The customer service is horrid. First line contacts are rude and supervisors reply in email with the same negative "Valued Customer" answer.
I asked them to take that description out. False advertising!
I was making reservations and once done, I received an email for a $25 roundtrip discount for each person. The email sale was for 24 hours. They send it 2 hours after it had begun.

My husband and I had to fly to Chicago, from California for a funeral. Since it was short notice, I went through cheaptickets.com to get a lower priced ticket.
I got us both tickets and noticed that same day they "reserved" the money in my checking’s account.

This was in the month of December, 2006 from Mumbai airport, we were at the airport 35 minutes before the flight Departure, however were not allowed to board the flight, saying that we are already late. Whereas, it was a business trip and we were supposed to attend an event on that particular night. Well like many others I too was scammed by these predators. Thank god I resisted their $8,000 club purchase FULL COURT PRESS, but I am out the $100.00 deposit and the free gas. On my first use of the service hotels.com I noticed that the page for credit card transactions is not secured. So when I called to make my reservation, I guess I was supposed to read all the disclaimers on the website first, which like an idiot I did not so I was extremely surprised when making the reservation that money had to be paid that very moment.

My family has been a member of this organization since 1983 and never had a problem up until this last summer. We have always enjoyed our time here but, this last summer there was an altercation that rescinded our membership and i feel that we were victimized by not only acting "security" but also by management. In October 2006 we were pressured into purchasing a timeshare with El Cid Resort in Mazatlan with a verbal promise that they would sell the Timeshare that we already owned with Mayan Palace. They were going to give us an automatic 50% of the value of our timeshare, valued at $23,400. I had the most horrible experience at the Days Inn in Rocklin California! On the weekend of 01/5/07 I visited the Days Inn in Rocklin California with my 69 yr old mother and my 69 year old godmother. We were refused a downstairs room even though I expressed the fact that I had 2 senior citizens accompanying me. We had even received the senior discount on the Days Inn website which should have been a "red flag" that we would need a downstairs room!! Best Western Greenbrier - Sevierville TN
Do Not Stay at the Best Western Greenbrier in Sevierville, Tennessee. Our group's rooms were filthy, and none of the equipment in the room worked. The staff and manager had terrible attitudes. I fell for the story about perpetual rental of half of my weeks purchased, as well as the line that the resort company will buy my unit back for at least my purchase price but probably more than my purchase price after a few years because property values in Cancun go up ten percent or more per year.
After purchasing, I read the contract closely and figured out that all the promises were just that, there were no guarantees in the contract.

In September I paid Mr. Hall over $5600 for a trip to Argentina and Chile that was to start 10 November. After he got the money, I didn’t hear from him further until 5 days before the trip was to begin. He was unresponsive to e-mail and phone calls. My wife & I have been staying at that motel for over a decade, with absolutely no problems whatsoever, last stay, May 29th. When I tried to make a reservation in November, they told me Manager Lee Judson had put us on his Do Not Rent list. This list is typically reserved by the hotel/motel industry for drug dealers and prostitutes...! My wife and I are both quiet, responsible, disabled senior citizens. Fairfield Timeshare
Paid very good money for a timeshare week with Fairfield but when it comes time to reserve your vacation week they say they are all booked up. Your points or week are gone never to be used again and you have lost your money. Customer no-service says they are sorry but there is nothing they can do. They say you are buying an opportunity to stay at a resort but it is first come first serve. This is a first class rip-off. Alaska Airlines
Alaska used to be one of my favorite airlines, but Alaska/Horizon are my definition of the bottom of the barrel. A group of us flew from San Jose and Seattle to meet in Boise in December 22, 2006.
Both flights were late; the San Jose one was over 11 hours late. The Alaska/Horizon personnel are so used to this that they don't even talk about 'scheduled' times, they say "target" times as if being on schedule is an unexpected event. It is.

I have worked at this hotel for nearly 2 yrs. And no real improvements have been made since I started. The owners are very cheap and hate to pay for Linen, bedspreads or cosmetic repairs.
They have Mold, Spiders and Mice. This is of no real concern to them. If they can do a patch up job or hide the needed repairs they will. We just barely passed our bi-yearly hotel inspection. Pre Tour Arrangement to Sorrento were horrible. Arrangements at the Rome hotel to hold our bags for the few pre tour days was never arranged. I booked Air Deccan flight from Bangalore to Chennai, unfortunately the amount got transferred twice from my account to Air deccan. As per the Air deccan policy it should be refunded within 14 days. I registered complain about the incident and i got the complaint number also. But still my money is not refunded.
