Had a virus on a machine. Chatted with onlinecomputerrepair.org who was recommended in several articles. They take control of the machine. They ran about 20 programs (most are freeware) to try to fix the machine. Could not fix corrupted windows Vista files including windows installer. Repeatedly ran same programs for six days to no avail. I finally formatted disk myself and installed another operating system.
