We bought a new Ariston fridge (model no.MT-4511) in 2006 from one of the most reputable outlets in Dubai (Jacky's). We were informed that all refrigerators carry a 5 year warranty on the compressor. I went to RBS bank today at Buhaira Corniche in Sharjah. I requested for a cancellation or clearance letter for my RBS credit card and was asked to pay Dhs 50. When I asked why? I was told that it was part of their internal procedure. I requested them to be transparent with their customers so that they know why they are being charged and would have more information about prices. I have had numerous maintance issues with the place I have rented from this agency. Most have not been fixed and after being there for a month still have no remote control for the garage I am paying for. Yesterday the appartment was completly flooded and I now have damaged carpets, cloths and shoes but the agency says "this is not their problem". They will not let me speak with the agency manager nor will they get him to call me. Can you tell me what is the responsibility of the agency and the manager in regard to maintance issues.
