This complaint pertains to dealings with Direct Energy and their contract renewal process. I was surprised when I received a higher than normal natural gas bill from Enbridge recently. Contrary to the statement below they did not mention they were non-government affiliated nor did they mention their refund policy. I had been struggling to make payments the past few years but had only missed one payment, however master card changed my normal billing date of the 24 of each month to the 14 without notice. This allowed them to increase my interest rate from around 19 to 26 percent because now I had missed 2 payments.(keep in mind the billing date changed back to the 24th for the next month.. The product (watermelon produced by Mexico) which we had bought in this store was very poor quality, not sweet (as it was promised), and contained of nitrates and pesticides. After we had eaten it, we had a stomach ache and other health problem related to it. When I brought it back, the "owner" (as he introduced himself) was rude, started arguing, asked his coworkers to "try it" to confirm that the watermelon was good and sweet and didn't apologize.
