On July 18th, 2010 we discovered that the sump pump in our basement failed and the basement had flooded. We called Drain Rescue and they sent out a representative to review the situation. He advised he could replace the pump for $700. I had priced sump pumps earlier that morning and questioned the price since I had found several 1/3 HP (similar pumps) costing between $130 and $250. Enmax, is by far one of the least ethical companies in Alberta. Enmax is a hydro company that provides water and Electricity and natural gas. Many people on fixed incomes (especially senior citizens) in Alberta or just middle class have difficulty paying their Hydro bills, Enmax in response starts penalizing for each time a person cannot make a full payment. Terrible customer service- My spouse & I spend a total of 8.5 hours within a week speacking to more than 15 customer service reps to order Satelite TV. We even got many confirmation numbers and appointments for a technician to come to our apartment & install the television for us. When you buy something at Leon's (in my case, in calgary), the delivery date indicated in the invoice is a BIG BIG BIG BIG lie. They are not really really committed with the delivery date. I purchased a bike from Bicycle Works and was not relayed their return policy in person. No signs were posted anywhere either. The policy on their receipt states that "All refunds must be accompanied by receipt".
