“Sears Canada is a multi-channel retailer dedicated to providing its customers with quality merchandise & exceptional service, coast to coast.” Sears Canada Mission Statement
This could not be further from the truth.
I just read a blog that is gaining strength as a result of the thousands of dissatisfied customers.
I've recently had the misfortune of losing $50.00 to the Service Department in the small appliance repair centre in Victoria.
I left a small power washer and after I was required to leave a $50.00... read full review »

Page the Cleaner Coupons
I've had two(2) incidents, recently, where the manager changed the terms of their promotional coupons after an employee had already acepted them as presented.
In their current promotion, they were giving consumers coupons giving a 25% discount for transactions that totalled over $20, or over $40. The former gives you a $5 discount, while the latter gives you a $10 discount.
In the first case, the total value of the cleaning exceeded the total value of the $40 coupon, which should have resulted in a $10 savings, but the manager decided... read full review »
Elec 20" TV/DVD
A television was purchased for the grandchildren on 01/11/2009 at this Canadian Tire store. Towards the end of May or first of June they were watching a program and one of them started holloring nanny, the TV has smoke coming out of it. I ran into the room, meet by a burning smell and immediately unpluged the unit. F ew days later it was taken to the store, where they said it would be sent to the rapair shop which is not far from the store. I was to check back in five days which I did. It had not even been sent to the repair shop but believe... read full review »
HP R927 digital camera
HP R927 gigital camera, problem description : The battery/memory card door broke off. I could still take pictures, charge it, but then the battery seemed to die. While I inserted a new battery the small grey clip holding the battery in place broke off. Now it will no longer function: no pics, no charging (I think the problem was not a dead battery but probably something else).
Dear Sir, in response to your query, I would like to inform you that, the battery door cover and the grey clip holding the battery in place is not a user... read full review »
Canadian tire, Yardworks
This is a case of “BUYER BEWARE” at Canadian Tire (Calgary Store #419, 64th Ave & Deerfoot Trail N.E, Calgary, Alberta).
Here’s my little story:
Bought a cordless mower one year ago, the battery dead just few days before the warranty expires, I think I was lucky.
Then the trouble starts, first I took the battery to the return desk, two ladies ask me to bring the whole mower so that they can replace a new one for me. (sounds too good to be true for Canadian tire.), I believed them.
the whole stupidly... read full review »

We also hired Jerome Sammy for two bathrooms renovation, he seemed honest at the time and after checking out the references he supplied, we decided to hire him. We also hired him by watching HGTVs Income Property and would never do it again. After we gave him a deposit for the job...he disappeared with our money, we tried contacting him and he refuses to return our calls. He is a FRAUD, a THIEF, very dishonest. Please do not fall victim to this man as we did. PLEASE DO NOT HIRE HIM... HIS LICENCE SHOULD BE TAKEN AWAY FROM HIM. read full review »

My sister and I went to look at cars for her. She had found an advertisement on the internet and called the dealership to arrange for the car to be there. When she arrived she learned that the car had gone up 1, 000 in price but they were willing to sell it to her for the price she had on her print out from Autotrader. The car had been marked down for month end.
We inspected the car and the sales person pointed out the new tires on the front. They were Michelin tires and were quite new. While looking at the car I notced the rear tires were... read full review »
Mc Donald
Hi,
I am from Embrun, Ontario. We went to Quebec yesterday and we decided to go at Mc Donald (open for 24 hours) located at 1003 Chemic De Masson Gatineau, Quebec at around 10:30 p.m. but when we get there nobody was entertaining the customers. The worst thing was all the crews are just talking and eating fries at the corner. When we asked one of Mc Donalds crew what is happening she answered us that they are close for 10 minutes more because they are doing some cash counting(what ever it is).
After 10 minutes still no body was in the... read full review »
World Music Supply
I ordered a guitar, and as of today, it has been 5 months, and there is still no sign of it. This is absolute crap. I've phoned them, they say it's probably a lost package, and they'll email me with further details along with "tracer package information" and they do not. They've stopped responding to my emails.
From what this is now, it's a scam. I have payed for my purchase, but I have yet to receive it.
I honestly hope World Music Supply is an honest, and hard-working company, and my lost guitar i... read full review »
W10 Colours Ltd, Hazelton Lanes
W10 Colours Ltd, owned by Miriam Binns of Scarborough has charged me twice for something I ordered, promised a full refund in writing if I was not happy and now has refused to give me a refund.
In addition to the above double charge (which she said was a bookkeeping error, amounts were charges over 30 days apart), she, as a partner in Ace Lifestles, Hazelton Lanes, made two unauthorized charges to my credit card, once in May and again in June. I waited almost a month for the credits to appear on my credit card transactions.

Came across this company on a sidebar & checked it out through curiosity.
I was amazed to see they'd used my name & town of residence ( "Jennifer from Roxboro") & cited me as a delighted customer, quoting me, too! There were even fictitious answers to my "comments"posted by others . INCREDIBLE!
Surely this isn't legal? I've never heard of these people.

Canadian Tire(Auto Service)
This is the last time I will ever use the auto centre for anything. I went at the opening time 7:30 a.m. on Saturday to get my oil/filter change and emissions test.
30 minutes later, nothing happening. One fellow said, he would be there shortly, but disappeared. I looked outside and then saw a very angry customer complaining to the Service Manager who just brushed him off. The man came inside and demanded the head of the store, who eventually came. The service manager was apparently too busy, using all the other mechanics and staff in the... read full review »

I bought my pontiac vibe back in 2005. Since then, there were little problems here and there. Before the lease ended, the windshield was leaking during rainy days so I took it to the fix.
During the lease, they provided a courtesy car and the moment we took it there, they immediately called us the day after.
After the lease ended, there was no courtesy car. Worst of all, the problem of the transmission came up. First was the engine lights, it comes on whenever we drove to surrey & coquitlam. We took it there 3 times and they... read full review »

Camera Works International
I never hire a company by mere seeing their ad online but with Camera Works intl. I made an exception which was a bad move on my part and my husband. We hired Reddy Sampath and his wife Nancy Benetton Sampath after a brief discussion on our project. As soon as they got the upfront payment to begin it was a different story all together. Bicycle from Canadian Tire
I purchased a bicycle from Canadian Tire which I rode once for less than 4 kilometres. After riding the bike, I was not happy with it because it really did not support my weight (200 pds), and was not great in terms of ergonomics and speed/comfort versus my existing bike I bought from them 10 years prior.
I brought the newly purchased bike back to the store the following morning for refund or exchange and was told that they did not take returns on bikes that were already used. I informed them that I did have all the original packaging (the... read full review »
Rogers Store
On June 2nd my partner went into the Rogers store at Devonshire Mall and dealt with one of the associates in there. The nature of business was to activate a portable internet service. It was easier to go to an actual store so that the DSL modem could be picked up immediately, instead of having to wait for Rogers to mail one if done over the phone. All in all, the associate (at that time) was professional and he did the job well. Rogers had (and has) the one month no contract fully refundable promotion for this service.
