Kemwel - Sixt Car Rental
Catherine Devine July 30, 2009
As a long time traveler, I have heard from others the horror stories of Auto rental. I have heard them speak of a reluctance to travel in Ireland because of the exhorbitant rates and fees which are levied at the local level. We veteran travelers can attest that Irish car rentals can be compared to playing a shell game at a carnival. I, as a norm, avoid that by renting from Kemwel, a brokerage company, which provides, usually, the lowest rates and the least likelihood of excess local fees being charged. After my last trip over in May of... read full review »

Sycamore House B&B, Dublin
travelbug81 July 29, 2009
My partner and I along with two friends (another couple) booked with the Sycamore back in March. We booked as soon as we heard U2 were playing there, even before we got the tickets for the gig! We were relieved to have secured a booking as we knew Dublin would book up very quickly, so a nice B&B not far from the centre and not far from Croke Park was ideal. My partner had been in running contact with the Proprietor of the B&B since booking, including an e-mail the day before our arrival to further confirm the booking. We stated we... read full review »

esso on the run
julie wilton July 25, 2009
Today 25th of july myself my uncle and my two cousins stopped at an esso on the run on the n11 from wicklow to dublin heading to drogheda. We had just left our camp site as we had been camping since wednesday. I had very little money left and decided it would be handier to stop at a garage on the way home to purchase something to eat. I usually like the food out of these stores and so passed many garages until we found an on the run. I went inside to buy a bread roll with butter and cheese. that is all i wanted and assuming that since it wa... read full review »

www.watchreplica.co.uk
Derek mc Caffrey July 21, 2009
This company would have you believe there watches are top quality replicas. I paid over 500 euro for the first watch which was faulty. They changed that one with another faulty watch, and wait for it, they gave me yet another faulty one. I told them i wanted a refund which they won't entertain. There watches are rubbish. Save up and buy a real rolex. Don't line these idiots pockets. Be warned. read full review »

My story from the beginning: My partner and I are attending a much anticipated lecture in London on the 25th July, and we were looking on-line for the best flight offers on Saturday the 4th of July 2009. We came across the city jet website and saw that we could get return flights from Dublin to London City airport for €119.70 per person return. We entered in all the details to book for 2 of us, and entered our credit card details and went on to confirm the booking. However, it was denied as we had insufficient... read full review »

aconn July 6, 2009
Hi everyone- I just feel I have to write to you about a scam that I've come across that seems to be all over the UK and Irish online classfied websites. I'd imagine I'm not the first person writing about this. Basically it started when I did a search online to buy an African Grey parrot for my boyfriend's birthday. A few sites came up through the search but the parrots available on this particular site- Adoos (www.adoos.ie) seemed extremely reasonable they were being offered at 200euro, I even came across an add... read full review »

Benefit
Karen Flood June 24, 2009
I feel that benefits containers are extremely poor in keeping liquid make up in the container and instead smudge it and spill it all over the lid. I am talking in particular about their liquid foundation, moon beam and their lip gloss. I move around alot and these products do not like being put on their sides. They end up leaving a stick mess and for the price of the product it is quite unaccectable. I end up wasting lots of my product because their packing leads towaste. read full review »

Miley Cyrus announced a concert in Dublin, and to make sure I got tickets for my daughters I joined the Miley Cyrus Fan Club. By doing this I would get a pre-sale code and would be able to buy them the monday before they went on sale to the general public. All went well and I purchased four seats, very close to the front and basically centre stage. Family friends then asked if i could get them tickets, the night before they went on sale to the general public. Walk Two Moons - Sharon Creech - MACMILLAN
miss13 June 4, 2009
I bought this book and realised that the first few chapters where missing and replaced by the last chapters. I did send it back for another but when the new book came back, the last chapters where missing and replaced by the first chapters! I did not ask for my money back which was €4.00 and did not send the book back for you see I am only 13 years old but still outraged!! I would like to get my money back still but I have left it too late!!! So, my advice I would never buy from these publishers: ( MACMILLAN) again!! But I will still continue my love for books, but I'll be very cautious in the near future!!! read full review »

very unhappy customer June 3, 2009
I stayed in the Ritz Carlton in May 2009. My credit card is still awaiting a pre authorisitation to be lifted even though I have paid the hotel in full, in cash on the day of check out. I spoke with the General Manager about the problem and found him to have a serious lack of understanding and customer service skills, which included raising his voice at me. I would never stay in this so called 5 star establishment again, I would have received a better service staying in a bed and breakfast. read full review »

Block voting is destroying Eurovision! Eurovision is lacking enjoyment pretty much the only way for countries in western Europe to get through to the final is to pay their way in and even then they don't have a chance of winning. The eastern Europeans have a complete different taste in music then the western Europeans. I think we should end block voting and different tastes in music by having 2 eurovisions one for western Europe and one for Eastern. Please sign my petition to send to Eurovision :-... read full review »

Murrays Europcar
Matthias Boese April 18, 2009
I reserved a car for 3 days for approx. 35 EUR. I held my confirmation in my hands going to the pick-up counter in DUB Airport. When I wanted to collect the car, the member of staff showed me an agreement stating more than EUR 120, 00 (!). Without asking me, she added a "gas package", paying for a full amount of gas that I didnt request (which is -by the way - much more expensive than just driving to a gas station before dropping the car). She also added the VAT and an airport collection charge (25 EUR). I know this charge... read full review »
