I signed a contract with Berg's sales representative Tom on 5/30/09, since then I have made multiple attempts to contact them on replacing my roof. I received a call back from them at the end of August of 2009 stating that the contract/work order was not processed within the company. They then stated that they would like to start the work Friday September 4th, the Friday before Labor Day. I informed them that I was not going to be available due to a family vacation that was planned over the holiday weekend. I wanted to be home when the contractors were there to make sure that there was no further roof damage. They informed me that they will call me the week of September 14 and possibly start work on September 17th. I received no calls from them that week. I have called them several times after and still no calls returned.
This is not in my opinion how you do business. I had a few more roofers who gave me bids also. I went with Berg because of the good reputation and the competive pricing. So beware of companies that give you a good price!!! I now have to re-bid for my roof and the price will go up due to supply cost. This is poor business like mannner nad I will not recommend your company to anyone. If didn't want my business, they should have told me back in May, instead I gave them the benefit of the doubt and now I'm back to square one.
