Charged for services never installed
On Feb.5, 09 I contacted AT&T to inquire on a special they had on Cable, Phone and TV package deal. I was giving a package deal price and with a free DLS9 since other co.'s offered it) and I would also get a rebate check for $125. Feb.6th I received an ad from AT&T for better rates and a bigger rebate check.. I called on the 9th to inquire and was told the orig. special deal price wasn't correct and they would not honor it so I cancelled the who deal on the 9th.NONE of the service was NEVER installed in my home. Mar.2, 09 I received a bill for $151.84 for services. I called and explained to them I cancelled the service and NEVER RECEIVED it. They said they would credit my account. A few days later I received another bill and I emailed them and repeated the who deal over. They e-mailed me back and they would take care of it. March 26, 09 I received a bill $167.95 now the bill went up. I called and spoke to Ms.Miles at 9:43 A.M. she said the bill showed a$0 BAL. Today, April 13, 09 I receive a bill for $167.95 from NCO Collection service. I called again today, and was told the bill showed $0. Back on Feb.9, 09 and was told a supervisor would contact me. As of now I have heard nothing.
MY ADVISE; beware of At&T they have offices all over and each time my call went to a different office and no one knew anything and passed it on.. I have a very high credit score now they could really upset it...
NONE of the services was installed...

Rip off company
I want to post this in this forum regarding AT&T's reward program for its Internet DSL Dryloop product to see whether there are enough of us getting the run around and not receiving the reward as promised so we can maybe sue AT&T in a class action for deceptive business practices. I was promised a 100 reward if I purchased their modem and internet service some 9 months ago. Since then, I have had to call them at least 6 times and countless wait time and transfer calls later, I still don't have my reward. I purchased the modem and Internet service from the AT&T store in Huntington Beach, California (Brookhurst and Adam).

Naturally, I canceled my service today in protest. Thank goodness the product works okay... If you ever had to deal with AT&T Internet DSL associates or had the unfortunate privilege of calling their toll free number, only to be transferred back and forth and sometimes getting disconnected, then you know what I am talking about.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND AT&T DSL DRYLOOP AND DON'T FALL FOR THE REWARD PROGRAM - I SINCERELY BELIEVE THAT IT IS NOTHING MORE THAN A BAIT AND SWITCH TACTIC. I AM HOPEFUL TO HEAR ENOUGH OF THE SAME COMPLAINT SO WE CAN SUE AT&T TOGETHER.

$25.00 Restaurant.com Gift certificate
i received an email from AT&T, if i will signed up for paperless statement i will get a & 25.00 Restaurant.com certificate after 90 days. it's been over 90 days and i have not receive anything. I kept calling AT&T and the Restaurant.com and they keep saying that both parties has to submit my information.
These parties are both scammers and liars

rewards
i too get a letter telling me to go to http://www.att.com/rewardcenter allowing me to redeen online and check current status of my rewards. so i did and it said no rewards available at this time. there is an expiration date on the letter so i decide to call the number they have to call. everytime i get to a certain point in the call, the operator comes on and says if you would like to make a call, please hang a dial again. this happens to me about 5 times, so i decided to try the internet again. there is a problem performing this action, please try again.

Overcharge
Overcharged, my bills were $600, 700, 800 and the last one $1000 because I was continuoulsy being overcharged and tried to fix it but was never able to. I am a Realtor and need my phone and use it all the time. Yes, I talk a lot but it is mostly business. My family used texting to keep form using my minutes. I have had 2 returned payments because my service would be disconnected at a crisis time in my business and I would make a payment knowing that I had overdraft protection and wound up being returned. Now they will no do anything to help me get my service restored and I now owe $2100 with the early cancellation fees. I have called and toldthem I would stay iwth them if they would just work with me on the balance. Told them I would pay $700 and they stillwont do it. I need to have my service retored despartely and am now having to use a new phone number which is really hurting my business.

No service in area
Bought 2 cell phones and plan from At&Twireless mobile. Recently Moved to Leisureworld in Silver Spring, Maryland and was unable to make or receive calls from apartment. Just discovered there is extremely limited accessibility here. Have to go outside to make or receive phone calls. Tried to cancel plan as the phone service is worthless here. AT&T refuses to end contract without penalty fee.

Questioned what the sense of having a phone service with no network access! Totally disappointed in this company and will never use AT&T services again. They have no sense of customer service. We had to get a landline through comcast. Called customer service at AT&T which did not get us anywhere.

Scam and cheating
I broke my phone. I was in Texas at the time and went to one of their local stores. The salesman talked me into buying their insurance. Allegedly, it didn't matter if I got the phone wet, dropped it, etc...it didn't matter, the insurance would replace my phone. When I tried to use the insurance only TWO days later for the junk phone that I bought, they would not honor it. I showed them my receipt and they still argued with me and told me that I didn't have insurance. I tried to explain to them that I was a disabled veteran and as a result of my service, I could no longer handle confrontation. Yet, for the next hour and a half, I argued with the salesman. I had to buy another phone. My VA is not that much. I am on a fixed income.

After spending $170 on another phone, they called me a couple of hours later and apologized and said I did have insurance. They wouldn't let me return the phone, though. They said they'd mail me another. Now, I have two phones and am still paying for insurance, although I already have an extra phone. At this point, I would be happy for half of the cost of my phone, even.

ATT will not even call me back. If you go to their website, they won't even list a mailing address for their corporate office. When you call, you get bounced from one department to another. My wife died almost a year ago and they won't let me cancel her line because 'it's under contract.' This is the absolute most crooked company that I have ever done business with.

Overall service
We had an ice storm in Western Ky. All telephone service (residential) were out due to downed lines. I understand the hard work that it took to reinstall service after this disaster. My complaint starts on January 27, 2009 when my service goes out. My neighbors telephones were up and running within a week. Febuary 24, 2009, i'm still without service residental or dsl. I had 4 at&t representatives come to my home. They were Field Workers and apologize because, for some odd reason, they connected everyone's line back up to their homes except for mine. I went a very very long time without telephone or dsl and now i'm receiving a bill. When I call to speak to an at&t represenative (name Rahema) she was very rude. She would not let me explain my situation. when i asked to speak to her supervisor she said that she didn't have one.lol. This is just one of my MANY MANY COMPLAINTS. AT&T HAS GIVEN ME TERRIBLE SERVICE!
