Bank of America Reviews

Bank of Aholes November 26, 2010
strong arm tatics
We are one of many families in H*** with Bank of America. Our mortgage payment is 2100.00. We were never late on a payment in until last month when we were 700 short and called them immeadiately to work something out. The person on the phone arranged to split the amount over 3 months. We received a letter confirming this.
Today we got a letter stating that we are in debt 700.00 and on Dec 16th they will enter our property for inspection to prepare for foreclosure.
They are trying to forclose on a $300.000 home because of a $700 difference? Of course when calling them, they claim there is no record of any conversation or letter with them regarding this matter. They are scary and rude to say the least. After reading all your complaints, I think we will go straight to our lawyer with this as trying to do anything with BOA is impossible. Be warned, stay away from them, they are like mafia. We too started with Countrywide which is now BOA (Bank of A holes).
If they try to enter our home on the 16th, we will have them arrested for unlawful entry (after our dog bites them).

Management changes
I called in to get an overdraft charge returned, as I have not had on in an extremely long time. I was told they will no longer be allowing more than 1 PER 12 MONTHS. There has been a management change I was told. I was discussing this topic with Rachel, the Supervisor in Nevada, and she then started making jokes such as " I don't have time to have a general discussion about the weather with you", and then laughs. I never mentioned anything about the weather. She made a joke about my finances. It was very alarming. I recommend people stay clear of Bank of America. For additional confidence in my suggestion, refer to the stock price of the company and what the amount it has declined since the changes have been made, in June. Wells Fargo is a better performing Financial Institution and I will be giving my business to Wells Fargo after this awful experience.

can't access my online account
For the last three weeks to a month I haven't been able to access my online account with Bank of America and they haven't given me a reason for doing so. I receive my social security direct deposit this way, so this means that I can't use my money from social security for bills and everday living expenses. This is serious. Can a bank do this? I don't live in the US and the only way I can do banking is through online banking!
Thank you, Charles S Moore from Moldova

home modification
In early July I thought I would see if i could get my loan modified through BOA.Since going on SS My income was greatly reduced. I have never been late on my payments since moving in, 1997. Here is where the garbage starts. After 1 month went by I called for an update . The person on the other end asks may I ask why you are doing this, and when can we expect payment, also last 4 of your social. She replies also we need and updated bank statement showing your name and address on it.Well I replied I am not a mind reader
and you have not communicated this to me.Here comes the real shocker, mind you nothing at all from Fed-Ex.I get my December payment saying $600.00 dollars due, where my normal mortgage is $434.00.These idiots set up an escrow account after I had already taken money from my 401 to pay property taxes and homeowners insurance, which by the way these other crooks keep raising every year for some reason or other!Everyone thinks we are doomed in Florida! Can't figure why they are not complaining about hurricanes in other states.Florida is the rip off state of America. Back to the rest of the story. I call again to opt out of their stinking waste of time program and was told to call escrow department to have this adjusted. The woman on the phone informs me that if you have a loan with Freddy Mac which I don't you can't cancel escrow account, buy now my blood pressure is about to explode. The moral of the story is I am not done fighting these criminal bank that think they can get away with this crap. I have sent a complaint to the Florida General attorney and also am contacting a hungry lawyer. Has this happened to anyone else?

Fees
Horrible just horrible banking customer service. I was charged hidden overdraft fees 3 times when I was told each time overdraft was canceled. Apparently this is how Bank of Fail works:

overdraft is on = $35 overdraft fee
overdraft is off = $35 returned item fee

Not to mention the fat and disgusting "workers" and "manager" at each branch here. 95% of them are mexican and some otehr mixeds shit, looks like no white people left here.

I haven't seen such thing from a single bank in Europe. As soon as my negative charge clears I am canceling my account.

No 5% cash back on Master Card
I was promised 5% cash back on my Elite Rewards Bank of America Credit Card. I received the rebate for one one month. The next month they told me I never applied for or qualified for the program.

Insurance Scam BOA Fraud
Bank of America (BOA) Insurance Scam. I found out in 11/2007 that BOA was debiting $20 a month from my account. I was surprised to find out they had been debiting it for over 2 years. I called BOA to get the number to the creditor and they told me it was Smart Step and gave me their number. I called and told them I did not order anything from them and had not received and accidental life policy. At that point I thought this really is a scam and told the person at BOA insurance to send me my policy. I also told him to stop debiting from my account. I did not receive anything in the mail and this came to my attention again in March 08. I lost my job and again called and requested them to stop and they did not. I called my bank and they said that I had to handle it myself and they would not refund the money they scammed from me. A year or so later I talked to a branch manager who told me that Smart Step is actually a BOA company and to file a fraudulent claim and I did. Long story short BOA and BOA insurance would not refund my more than $500 they took out of my account and BOA would not refund the hundreds in overdraft fees directly linked to this. Now I do not have a bank account and my credit has been affected by this. I am going to continue to fight BOA and BOA insurance and file complaints with the banking commission in NC (the corporate headquarters of BOA) and with the Better Business Bureau. Maybe if enough people come forward we can stop BOA.

Bank Of America
I am looking for Bank Of America customers who have had fraud committed on their accounts ie unauthorrized charges or transactions and who weren't reimbursed by Bank of America . I have several clients that have reported similar problems and I am looking to file a class action suit against them as this practice is illegal and must be stopped. customer service
After BOA's on line banking site did not accept my log in information it locked up. I went to on line chat to reset. They asked for information that I was seeking on line which of course I couldn't get. I had my account number, my debit card number with the three digit number on the back and other information such as the details of the two accounts I closed with them on the third because bank errors that cost me around $52. When the account locked it provided a number to call which was unavailable until the next day. After half an hour with one person I was given the same number. I asked for a supervisor and after another half hour answering the same questions I previously answered I was given the same number. Three times I was asked for the branch and provided it. It doesn't match their records? They stall, go over the same info time and again trying to wear you down then pass you on to the same unavailable phone number I got when I was locked out and which began the process. Rather than call the number I will go to the branch that doesn't match their records and cut my last ties with BOA. It will be a good morning.
