Being charged for a service that is no more
My contract has expired 5 months ago and i am now with a new service provided but cell c still debits a fixed amount every month. I email customer service and get the same lame sms “we are working on it'. This is now theft. After 4 emails to them still no response.

Disconnected but paid up
It's the usual: some lady from Cell C called and offered me yet another contract, which I did not want. In the end I gave in and decided to give the new phone to my maid. Everything was done telephonically and I can really tear my hair out since then! Cell C gave me a free Phonesure insurance the first month and I had to cancell only after the one month was up - which I did. Try to do it. It takes 3 months before my faxes and emails were answered. Next thing I was disconnected after 4 months, for no reason, since my account is paid up by debit order. Then off I go to 'register' the phone. The guys at Cell C Menlyn are useless. Don't know what the fault can be and of no concern to them. Customer 'Services' [via telephone] cannot tell me either. Takes me some time to register because the guy is taking his time to type a few info... Now I'm registered, no connection. Next day back to Cell C. NOW they find it's my SIM card [which I told them was the problem from the start!] and I [note: I] have to pay for a SIM swop @ R135. NEVER again. Vodacom gives me NO problems. Joke is, my maid told me afterwards Cell C is known for their bad services. I thought I was doing her a favour.

I am sick and tired of Cell C
My contract is cancelled with Cell C! On the 280809 they deducted R1376.56 from my account, which I did not really have. I put a complaint in at Hello Peter about it, because as far as I knew I did not owe anything. They called me and explained it was the last outstanding amounts.

They promised me that it was the last and that there will not be another deduction in the future!!!
Well quess what? They deducted another R353.85 from my account on the 300909!!

I am sick and tired of Cell C! I want my money back and I want it back ASAP!!!

SIM card still not working
I had a SIM card registration failed error on my phone last week Wednesday (23rd September). On Thursday I went to the Cell C Shop and did a SIM swap (they said that the SIM card was 'broken' and it cost me R150), the Friday morning Lucky called me and said that the SIM card would be activated during that morning. Friday afternoon I called customer care again saying that the problem still persists, they then cancelled my contract and re-activated it again to see if it does not work. It is now Monday morning and the problem still persists. I went to the Cell C shop again and they called Customer Care. Apparently it is now a network error and I must wait between 24 and 48 hours. I got a reference number: 3636323 and the person's name is Luzanne. Please help me, I need my phone to be working.

I am so *** off by your shoddy service
Why the hell do I have to go all the way to Sandton to have my phone serviced when I stay in Pretoria? If you find it difficult to meet your contractual obligations I do not mind to have the contract terminated. I would rather do business where customers are better appreciated. Should you drag your feet any longer, I would not mind suing you for lost business.

I am so *** off by your shoddy service and I wonder what drove me in the first place to do business with you.

Free offer with contract not delivered
I contracted with a Cell C direct store for 2 contracts(casual chat)subject to a free offer of a 32 inch Telefunken LCD TV. The phones are 2 entry level Nokia phones at a monthly subscription of R145 each. The long & the short of it is, the next day after connecting the TV, I noticed the screen was defective. I immediately informed the store of this defect & returned it the next day. Both the store manager & owner informed me that the TV was to be returned to their supplier who was to replace the TV with a new unit. They couldnt say how long this will take & after a week had gone by I was told that the supplier does not have stock. They undertook to inform me as soon as they had word. Almost a month has passed & Im still possession of the TV for which I'm expected to pay for. No attempts were made by the store of sourcing another set from another store & when I suggested this as an option the owner said it would place his store second to others. I dont see how thats my problem???I lodged with customer services, to date haven't had any response. I contracted for these contracts purely with the intention of having the use of the TV offered. I want this contract cancelled at no cost!

I am really sick of dealing with you people
I missed payments for the months of June and July for sim cards 0845306350 and 0844122239. Iwas advised by Barbara at N1 City that my account would be debited on 25th every month. About the 6-9th July I got a message saying my account is in arreas. At the end of august my account was fine and the debit order went off because I didn't get another arreas message. However, I am still being barred from using the airtime I AM PAYING FOR and as a result, I've reached my limit at R625 on the 0845306358 sim card. This month (September) I have apparently been recharged but the amount is not being added to my total (i.e. total airtime balance = R625) which means I am now paying for airtime that doesn't even get credited to my account. I am really sick of dealing with you people. Please sort this out immediately as I do not want the debit order to go off again and then I don't get credited the airtime. Please re-activate my sim cards!

Declairing me dead without a proper deadsertificate from homeaffers
Cell C declaired me dead first without me knowing, but one day i walked in to their stores to upgrade my contract when the lady type in my ID information she looked at me and told me that i am dead on their sistemes. From there Cell C made awhole lot more mistakes but they also put me up at ITC. That i had to find out when i applied for a loan and it was decleind because of Cell C putting me up after i had pay the teir money. I later found out that it is ilegal to declair someone dead whithout a legal deadsertificate from homeaffers and it is also ilegal to put sameone up at ITC without notified them inwritting that they are concidering it. Cell C is trying to sweap all off this under the carpet but i am the one that had all the losse because off all their mistakes. i feel they must at least compensate me for all that they have done to me. but they don't think they have done anything wrong. My name is Chrisna Els And my sel phone number is 0837719684. If any one can help me i will apresiate it because it is slowly destroying my life. I had losses off over R 400 000 because of all the mistakes Cell C has made. My e-mail adress is : [email protected].

Never take out a contract with Cell C
My debit order to cell c was returned unpaid due to lack of funds. I borrowed money from a relative to pay outstanding emergency medical. She paid it into my account. One day after money was received into my account, cell c took the money out of the account on Saturday 19th of September 2009. Now I can not pay the emergency medical bill.

How did cell c know the money was there? Are debit orders not supposed to go off on the specified dates? I am furious. Cell C is the worst company to deal with in South-Africa. Never ever take out a contract with them.

I have a suspicion that cell-c add call to old numbers called to accounts. Cell phones normally only log calls for only 30 days, resulting that log info is gone by the time you get your detailed account. There is an application for symbian (nokia) phones available tinyhack com freewarelist s603rd 2007 03 02 logexport I seriously recommend users to use this utility to export logs into spreadsheet format, so that they can check their detailed accounts.
