Website user interface
Has anyone tried searching for cellphone contract options on the cell c website? If you have then you would understand why I am posting this complaint. It is impossible to do anything other than hop from one page to another. I tried comparing devices (which is an option they have on the site) but I keep getting the same screen popping back informing me that mobile devices have different characteristics and it is advised that I review all the features before settling on one. I mean, what is the point of having the feature if it does not function at all?
There main reason I was on the site is because I am looking into getting a blackberry torch so I am 'shopping around' to see if I cannot find a contract option that best suits my pocket. Believe it or not, Cell C now offers contracts for Blackberrys. What is the catch you ask? I do not know either because as I was going through the tarrif options, I could only find info on the Blackberry Curve and none of the other models. This is unacceptable as all Blackbery devices available on the South African market are listed as available from Cell C. They even go as far as to have a page dedicated especially to "BB" on their site. You can see all the pretty pictures but that is about it.

EVERYTHING
After my phone was stolen i have been trying to successfully blacklist, report & claim ccover with cellc. They start out by telling me i had to do the blacklisting in store (a lie) faxed it to the wrong pre programmed no (something that head office is aware happens) & then tell me to be patient for 2 weeks before realising they had stuffed up. Then after filing the claim (eventually as the fax would not go through and having to stand on my head to get an email address) I get no response - my enquiry is 'escalated' by everyone at Cell C but to no avail. Finally i get a call (that does not show on my phone nor do i get a msg of the voicemail) to call them - it turns out that they now want the affidavids - something that i have asked about and was told they get directly - 34 days of being shunted from person to person, of being 'escalated', of being promised calls that never happen and still being given the wrong information at every turn - why is this not a simple streamlined process - instead the least traumatic, emotionally unsettling &infuriating part of this experience was waking up realising i had been robbed & that person had stood over me while i slept & taken the phone from my pillow

Unlawful Blacklist
Hi
Cell C has unlawfully blacklisted me for an account that is not mine & according to their legal department the account is also fully paid & inactive. They claim they haven't listed me even though I provided them with an MIE & an ITC report.
Cell C then promised to update ITC accordingly & send me a letter confirming that my name was clear but this was in the beginning of 2011 & still I have not heard a word from the SP.
What’s sad is that this account belonged to my sister Erica Phora & the account has subsequently been fully paid. I am now struggling to apply for credit facilities because you have incorrectly blacklisted me.
Can someone in the legal department that knows their story correct this. This is unlawful & there are acts that guard consumers against service providers such as yourselves.

Faulty handset
I received my phone upgrade a month and a half ago. It turned out to be faulty and I reported it the next morning. To this day, I'm still waiting for my phone. I've sent numerous e-mails and made numerous phone calls and I still can't find anyone that is willing to help me. I've even requested that my contract gets cancelled and still can't find anyone to assist me with that.

cell c insurance
I am Mr E. J. Maasdorp i have a three cell c contracts i lost my phone and i am trying since 28/04/20011 to claim fom cell c cover insurance i did all the necessary requierments expexted from me like submitting all required docs . Im trying to contact them since the beginning of May 2011 the cell c customer care gave me a direct number to contact the insurance which is by the way a cell c insurance everytime i phone its difficult to get through to them. Dismal Pathetic Customer Service
On the 7th of April I received a faulty phone from Cell C thruogh a telesales consultant. On about At around 13th of April, I took the phone to a cell c service centre in Rusternburg (waterfall Mall). They told me that the phone was still under marketing and that I should call 084 145, which I did and spoke to a lady by the name of Fahima/fahina. I requested that I was dissapointed that I got a faulty phone and that I am not getting prompt assistance from Cell C. As a result I would like to cancel the contraCT and would like them to come fetch the phone. Nothing has happened ever since. I then spoke to a number of other consultants who kept saying they are booking the phone for collection - well... needless to say...I still havent got any concrete feedback from Cell C. When ever I call, I have to explain myself all over again and restart the process. I also faxed a letter requesting the Cell C to cancel my contract due to the poor and quite frackly...pathetic service I have receied; even today nothing has been done. Instead I am receiving a bill from Cell C. Funny that, you can send a bill but cannot respond to complaints. I have tried speaking to the supervisor at the 084 145 number but each time I'm made to hold until the line cuts.

Worst Service
Please someone from Cell C call me asap. Someone of some significance at Cell C. Dont sms me, dont email me, call me!!
I have consulted an insurance ombudsman so that he can take this issue further.

Within that complaint is a link to further complaints regarding this issue, which has stretched on for 4 weeks now.
If you do not intend to phone me directly please dont respond to this by email or sms, I've received so many already and they dont mean a thing, they explain that Cell C is dealing with it...but you are really not.
I have only used this website because I cant complain about Cell C more than once in 24 hours on the previous site.
Furthermore please DO send me an email with means and information as to how I can cancel my contract with Cell C as I have absolutly ZERO interest in being involved with you in anyway whatsoever, ever, ever again.

Service
I went to Cell C office in Newcastle and spoke to Miss Nozipho to apply for a new contract on the control 100. She phone me back and informed me that it has been declined. I asked her to find out why and she insisted she cannot do anything. I informed her that i purchased a contract with Nashu mobile 5 months ago without any problems, but she was not helpful at all. Today i went into their office again and explained what legal said, again not to helpful and she informed me that she will try again after she finished with what she was doing, took my papers and gave it to another lady at the back, which i cannot see why she made me wait. Cell C suppose to be improving, but it seems not

poor service
cellc has a very poor service, they make you wait for more than alf an hour and they will not resolve your problem but they will rather tell you that you must call again and wait for 30minutes without help...i have been having the problem for more thatn two weeks now and they still not solving anything... i really dont see why they had that ceo ish wghen they cant even solvce our problems, im really irritated with cellc, if i was not on contract i was going to leave cell c with imediate effect

waiting for refund for over a month and a half no communication from cell c

My name is Savvatoula Petalas on the 31st of the 3rd menthe cell c debited my account with R1040.00 INCORRECTLY Three weeks ago I contacted Cell c with my problem, the consultant requested that I mail my bank statements through as proof witch I have done twice already IF YOU HAVE A LOOK ON YOU SYSTEM FOR THE PAST 3 WEEK IV BEEN CALLING IN NONE STOP IV EVEN GONE TO THE HEAD OFFICE IN PLATTERKLOOF CAPE TOWN, I have spoken to numerous consultants and Team leaders and supervisors
Each of these people made me promises that were not fulfilled promises that I will get my refund promises that the admin department and the billings department would return my call and last night I spoke to a Wayde Stoffell and his team leader Mompulelo Zunga who guaranteed me that I will get an answer by ten o’clock this morning Wednesday 04 2011 and once again no one has bothered to call me.
As far as imp concerned I AM SICK AND TIRED OF YOUR VERY POOR SERVICE NEVER MIND THE FACT THAT CELL C HAS MADE ME SHORT OF PAYING MY OTHER ACCOUNTS DUE TO THERE INCORRECT DEBIT ORDER WICH I AM STILL WAITING FOR.
IM SENDING YOU THIS EMAIL TO NOTIFY YOU OF THE CANCELLATION OF MY CONTRACT I WILL STOP ALL MONTHLY PAYMENTS AND IF CELL C CUTS MY LINE OR BLACK LISTS ME I WILL GO TO THE OMBUDSMAN AND WILL CONSALT A LAWYER. I WILL NO LONGER LISTEN TO CELL C EMPTY PROMISES AS FAR AS IM CONCERND YOU ARE IN BREACH OF YOUR OWN CONTRACT BY DEBITING MONEY THAT IS NOT DUE AND STILL OVER A MONTH LATER IM STILL AWAITING MY REFUND. AND THE EXCUSE THAT THEY NEED TO FIND THE PROBLEM INORDER TO REFUND ME CELL C HAS COST ME PETROLL MONEY DRIVING UP AND DOWN TO TRY AND SORT OUT A PROBLEM THAT CELL C HAS CREATED ASWELL AS COSTING ME MONEY EVERYTIME TO REQUEST BANK STATEMENTS AND MONEY FOR THE FAXES IV SENT THROUGH.
