i took out a loan for 14, 000.00 in june of 2006 and have been paying and the balance is still 14, 224.70 how can this be i cannot understand this at all neither can my attorney i am writing to try and come to an agreement with citi and set up payments to get this taken care of as per my attorney without having to take it to court

Refinancing
I am investigating a loan refinancing program that Citi Financial personal loans has. I originally went in and borrowed 5000, since my credit was bad naturally the interest rate was high, it put my balance to 12, 000. then over that last 3 years I have refinanced it 3 times, and not really paying any attention until I just ran a credit report for myself, I noticed that everytime I refinanced the loan to get a lower rate, the orginal loan amount was the new balance! What is up with this. I have been make at least a $230.00 monthly payment to these people for 3 years, and my balance is still at 13, 000?? Something is going on, and I intend to get to the bottom of it. I am waiting on copies of all of my paperwork, and I know they will have some loop hole to tell me of that it is legal to do that, well my payoff balance right now is higher that the orginal amount I borrowed. I think something is wrong here.

Harrassment
This is the worst company ever! I think they have to pass a course in rudeness to work here! I am about ready to let them take a Judgment on me for what I owe so the harrassment will stop! Judgment interest is 1.5% and I am paying 18%. VERY TEMPTING - these assholes don't get it. The squeaky wheel doesn't always get the grease

interest on loan
I took out a loan in 2007 for 10, 000.00. I have been late a few times (shocking~I know) and for some reason it makes perfect sense to them that I owe $10, 800 over 3 years later. I mean, come on, it could not go down at least a little after paying over $9000.00. I hate these people and I don't know how to ever get it down. Am I going to be paying on this loan for the rest of my life?

Scam , beware
We have been living in a home that was given to us after my in laws died in teste. A brother in law said he had power of attorney, well he stole all our money then we had to come up with 7500 for legal fees. this was the only time citifinancial later citimortgage talked to us. They said we could stay in the home till such time as we could afford probate We have tried for over 3 yrs to get to talk to anyone at that bank.All info was only allowed to go through Vincent (in law)The bank then told him to sign overpower of attorney to my husband Joseph so we could deal with the bank.It never happened as there was no executor, no power of attorney nothing. When there was a discrepancy they called Vincent not us. This was our home our money and they were giving himn our personal banking information.

I tried to work with research in the bank, sending cancelled checks and such to show we were not in default, they sent a letter to my deceased mother in law stating they had mistakenly not posted 2 payments and they would. When I called back when it did not show, m they said call Vincent. I then sent copies of certified checks from the bank, including an extra payment we paid in Dec just for the dimple fact that I am very ill and stress kills my immune system making me much more ill. I called, they said call Vincent. No one will work with me, they said we owe 6 months payments according to what they told Vincent which is a lie and none of his business. Now finally someone told me that even if there had been a simplepower of attorney it would die with the person. So now we have answered the banks foreclosure asking for a jury trial and also notified them they violated our rights.

We need a lawyer that will help us file a civil suit for bad business practice. Giving out personal banking info without any written consent. Calling myself a liar stating Vincent had the power of attorney.

Putting my husband and myself under great stress emotionally for my husband, physically and emotionally for me, my health has declined horrible the past 3 yrs. The autoimmune disease I have reacts directly to stress.I have become so upset and such physical pain, i had to call the suicide hot-line, I just wanted all this to end. I and my husband are good Christian people who do not lie, cheat or deceive.

end of story we need to file a civil law suit based on illegal practices, pain and suffering, and causing us directly due to there false practices of not crediting our account, has now put us inforeclosure, which is not true, I need a to find a lawyer to help. i don't travel as I cannot sit for long, I cannot drive and the pain is too bad. I use a walker and wheelchair. I am only 54 but since dealing with this co that I see has allot of complaints against them we need help.

Would not take payment
have a loan with Citi Finincial

yes I am late on a payment I called and told them I would be late and why.

I set up the payment to be made today.

I went by and tried to make the payment Saturday and they would not take it said I had to pay the one that comes due August the 15th also.

they tell me I have to make two payments - not going to happen

I will go by the Camden S.C. branch today to try and make the payment again.

If the knuckleheads to not take the payment I will not ever attempt to make another payment to Citi Finincial. They can take all that OBAMA money and pay it off.

Customer Service
I started my phone calls to CitiFinancial Customer service 6/14/2010. I called 800-992-6235,
800-485-1750, 800-995-2274, 888-350-9063, 866-867-7967, 803-835-2421, 803-835-3009,
888-350-9064, 888-350-9063, 803-835-2421, 800-486-1750, 800-331-0500, 888-282-4801,
800-486-1750. After trying each of the numbers I was repeatedly told no one could help me. Until I contacted one of the numbers twice and spoke to two different customer service reps who told me - that due to the circumstances, I could request a temporary or permanent hardship amendment from the department that handles it, The Auto Department, who then transferred me to the Collections department. I called again and was told no one there could help me and they gave me another number. This went on and on. I finally told them I wanted to talk to a Supervisor, Manager or District Manager. I told them that I would wait forever if I had to. Once again I got disconnected. I called back and got another customer service rep and I explained everything again and requested a Supervisor, Manager, or anyone who is in charge there. They once again put me on hold and low and behold they gave me an Angela Snyder. I got disconnected again. I called back and requested to talk to Angela Snyder a manager at yet another number 1803-835-3009. I called that number while on the phone and she actually answered the phone. Lucky me. She went over my request and said she would walk it herself to the department that made the recommendations and see what could be done. She said to check with her the following Tuesday, on 6/29/10 and gave the times she would be in meetings. I started calling on Tuesday and left a message, thinking finally someone who will be calling back. I have not heard from her since. I have left her several messages and here it is 7/16/10 and still no return call. CitiFinancial's customer service in the worst on I have ever had to deal with. I am in the customer service field and if any of us treated the customers that way we would be fired on the spot. Look at what it does to a company’s reputation. Oh yeah they have to care about customer service. They treated me like I didn't matter to them. Well if they do that to me who else are they going to do it too. If someone asked me I would tell them “Never” get involved with CitiFinancial.
I called again 7/16/10 before I started this and asked for an officers phone number, once again could get nowhere. I did find out from 800-922-6235 CitiFinancial was sold to Santander Consumer USA.

Unauthorized withdrawals
This company was authorized to take a monthly payment from my checking to pay on my loan and this month they went ahead and pulled 2. When I called them they proceeded to tell me that they had to investigate and that they could not put the payment back to the account even though I sent them proof that 2 payments went threw, because they thought the back was going to denie the transaction and then they would have given back 2 payments. Now I sit here waiting for my money to be returned so that I can pay my other obligations while they sit on my money.

Ruined my credit
I discovered another CitiFinancial account on my credit report and immediately reported this to Citi, this was back in October of 2009., they insisted that this was my loan, that I co-signed for it and that I probably forgot that I co-signed for $20, 000!!!. Not only has this increased my dept to income, but has made my credit score go down. When I disputed this loan, CitiFinancial still reports this as my loan, while there is an investigation in process. They don't care, why should they, they being the rude and unprofessional customer service reps, it's not there credit that's being ruined. They also changed my name on my own account to the co-signer of this erroneous account, when I called to find out why they did this and who gave them permission I got the usual answer "I don't know" then changed it back to my name, misspelled!!! I don't know where they get these reps from, oh yes I do, when you receive a call it's usually from a foreign country, like there are no unemployed people in the U.S.
