UNauthorized charges After running a $9.95 address/phone search (one time charge), i find six months later I've been paying $19.95 monthly for "subscriber services by Intellius." 1. shame on me for paying bills this carelessly. 2. This organization is all over the web with charges of fraud and somehow managing, in a smarmy fashion, to initiate this monthly billing.
I plan to dispute all these charges as "intentionally misleading and malicious 3rd party fraud." I ENCOURAGE EVERYONE who has had the same experience to DISPUTE the charges with your credit card company. Given these circumstances you stand an excellent chance of winning this dispute and Intellius refunding, or at least settling for reparation.
They were very unhelpful; this is a huge scam, I am reporting them to the AG of Texas

Unauthorized Billing Charges
I created an account on Intellius to get a property search report and agreed to a $14.95 charge to my credit card. Then they offered me 25 free people lookups. When you look up a person, it activates the People Search service and you get an email from Intellius thanking you for signing up for People Search and that you will be billed $19.95 a month. When you call them, they tell you that they did inform you on their web page and that you must have agreed, and that they can only back out the charge if it is still pending. The other problem is that they save your credit card information without your permission and they refuse to remove it from their system. The offer to deactivate your account, but that doesn't remove your credit card information from their system. I would not have done business with them had I known about their business practices.

Information not given. Unauthorized Charge
Don't use Intellius. I was trying to find my cousin's address in a small town where she has had three different houses, her husband died and I wanted to get the correct address to send flowers. The only information I got from Intellius was that they had indeed had three addresses in that town. It didn't tell me WHAT any of the addresses were or just three different ones in there town. They are a scam. They gdo not give you any relevant information and not matter what they say will end up charging you 19.99 for the service because, they say, if you give them your email address that gives them the right to charge you for a month of service which consists of 10 uses. The nasty people on the phone will tell you that there is no supervisor above them that you can talk to and will refuse to refund your money! I am so angry I could spit... I hate being scammed.

charge of 19.95
I paid for a people look up and e-mail which was 4.95. I just looked at my card and find I have been charged $19.95. Looks like alot of people have been scammed

UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES
I USED THEIR SERVICES FOR AN ADDRESS LOOK-UP AND TODAY WENT TO PAY MY RENT AND DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH FUNDS BECAUSE THEY ILLEGALLY CHARGED MY ACCOUNT 19.95 AND AGAIN ANOTHER 19.95 THIS ANGERS ME TO THE POINT OF NO RETURN AND I RELLY WANT TO CUSS THEM OUT, BUT OF COURSE NO ONE IS AVAILABLE ON WEEKENDS BECAUSE THEIR ASSES ARE OFF USING ILLEGAL FUNDS THAT THEY STEAL FROM PEOPLE LIKE ME!!! THEY ARE BEING REPORTED TO THE BBB, FTC AND I'M GETTING A LAWYER!

W$19.99 a month. Called my bank to dispute then called Intellius direct and talked with a William. Listened to my request to cancel/refund then went to talk to a supervisor. He came back to say he cancelled it and I would get a 5-month refund. I was ready for a fight, but he acquiesced.

unauthorized credit card billing
In May 2007 I used Intellius on internet. Four months later I became aware they continued to bill me $19.95 per month. Their representative informed me that I had signed up for a monthly service and that she could only reimburse two months. Intellius failed to cancel my account as requested, failed to reimburse me, and continued to bill my account until I called in September 2009. In Sept 2009 I again canceled my account. They again did not reimburse me but instead continued to bill my account. During this time they went through several name changes (VALMAX, INT IDPROTECT MMTR SVC, Intelius Subscription, Intelius.com) making detection of the billing very difficult.

ordered info on a property for under $5.00. They took $19.95 plus the under $5.00 charge.95
I did order some info on a property in Buffalo, N.Y. The cost was less than $5.00. They took $5.00 from my account, and then $1995. I did not authorize the $19.95. What can I do to get it back and not have them charge me more? My complaint earlier today was not accurate. This account is!

can not cancel service
I have been trying to cancel service all week before I was charged. Cancel button does not work. I wake up saturday morning to see a pending charge. I can not call them to cancel but now I have been charged a service fee I wish to not use. I have canceled my card and now I still need to find out how to cancel this service.
