I hired Mayken Hazmat to help clean and remediate my rural property after tenants caused a lot of damage. They provided a quote over the phone based on photos I sent, and charged for travel time. Unfortunately, due to some miscommunication, the crew only worked part of the day, and I was later quoted an additional $2,000 for a return visit to finish the job. After I questioned the lack of progress, Mayken realized they had actually shorted me about 12 hours of work. Mistakes happen, but I was disappointed that management didn’t catch it before requesting more money. To their credit, they offered to come back and finish the job at no extra charge, which I appreciated. The downside was that it took almost two weeks for them to return, which delayed listing my property for sale from October to November. Communication during that time was poor. I had to reach out myself for updates and photos of the completed work. While the kitchen was cleaned very well, the laundry room was left unfinished, with grime and debris still on the washing machine and floor. My main issue was with management and the lack of attention to detail. The service didn’t live up to what’s advertised, and a follow-up quote for renovations I requested was never provided. Overall, the quality of work was mixed, and I wouldn’t use their services again, but I do want to acknowledge the effort of the on-site crew who did their best.
