Sham of a Company
This is the biggest sham of a company I have ever encountered. Vegas style used car salesmen that rip off customers with solicitation of a money back guarantee that they have no intention of honoring. I didn't even receive ONE call from the posting of my vehicle and dropped the price over 10k off KBB to see if i could get a bite or if the company was simply not trying to sell my vehicle as promised. I followed up asking for additional service to which i received a virtual hand job and a wave goodbye from Basil in customer service; thanks for the good times and empty promises YOU HACK. I have been told by 3 different people my refund has been processed as all documentation was notarized and ON TIME. This spans back 3 months and of course, no refund. I have never been more disappointed in the business ethics of a small business in my life. SCRAP the company and let the kids go back to dealing drugs in the mean streets of Vegas, they are a bunch of CARNIE'S. PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY AND PASS THIS MESSAGE ALONG.

National Motor Sales Scam – not so much actually
These guys aren’t as bad as they’re made out to be – in my opinion. I hope writing this will help them out because from what I am reading on the net they could use some positive word of mouth. I write lots of reviews and don’t mind being a devils advocate now and again. Anyway, it’s a bit long, but here’s my story.
I had gotten a call about two months ago from National Motor Sales asking if I wanted to sell my boat and that they could help me get my boat sold. I was really leery that it might be a scam and in fact hung up even though the young lady was really nice and polite. I then sent them a nasty email that went like this (my copy and paste below):
National Motor Sales:
Do not call me ever AGAIN! Remove me now xxx-xxx-xxxx!
XXXX
Yeah, I was mad as hell and I bet they got the picture. To their credit I never heard from them again, ha ha!
So after about two weeks or so I was getting pretty desperate. I had gotten calls from other places offering to sell the boat, but the girl at National Motor Sales was the one that stuck with me. I figured it might be worth a shot to call back and see what’s what. I got a hold of her and she went on to tell me that National Motor Sales does marketing, places ads on the net and all this other stuff. Since I was asking what I thought was a fair price for the boat I figured why not. I wasn’t getting any action in my town so maybe they could get me someone somewhere else. She was a good sales person, what can I say?
I placed the ad, sent some pictures, made some edits and waited. I waited some more. And I waited even longer. Man, I thought for sure National Motor Sales took the money and ran. That’s around the time I started doing searches on these guys and saw some of the stuff that’s been written. So I sent an email, got a reply back asking that I be a little patient and see how it goes for a moment. They also gave me a feature listing, but wasn’t really sure what that exactly is.
Anyway, after about 3 weeks the phone rang and it was a guy in Georgia (I’m in Texas). He saw the pictures and asked if I could send some specific shots. I did. He replied back and made an offer than was unacceptable. But I was happy I finally started getting calls. After two more weeks I had gotten 3 more calls and they were all pretty general in nature except one gentlemen in particular. He asked quite a few questions and he seemed sincere. Well, it turns out he was serious because he was in my backyard two days later checking out the Sea Ray. We struck a deal after about 4 hours and he’s the new proud owner of a damn fine boat.
After about a month and a half and a handful of calls I did get it sold and for a price that was at least at my expectations. Could they have gotten it sold sooner? Hell yes they could have, but it is sold and I’m happy with that. I figured sharing this here would do National Motor Sales a bit of justice.

Did not refund costs as agreed.
I advertised my motorcycle for sale on craigslist.com in February of this year. A few days later I received a solicitation from National Motor Sales to advertise my bike nationally and get much more exposure. The cost was $200.00, with a 60 day guarantee that it would sell or I was to receive my money back minus approximately $35.00 in costs.
My 60 days was up last month and I have been trying to get my money every since.
They now say that they did not receive my refund request in time (within 5 days of accepting the contract). National insisted they receive the original request, consequently I sent it via US postoffice. I sent the request 2 days after accepting the contract. Plenty of time for them to have received it. I had to email them for the form, which turned out to be on their web site.
I expect the only reason that they insist on receiving the original refund request is for deniability.
I have a hard time believing this is the first time this has happened.
