This is very rude and unfair for the receivers and also senders
I would like to make a complaint related to the UPS delivery person who is schedule to deliver around the lake city, washington area. When Im not around to accept my package, he always left them at the next door (napa part) and continueless let someone who is not the reciever signed. When i came over to pick up my package, its already lost because the next door people said the UPS guy came back and took it. On the other hand, the UPS guy denied of the action. Therefore, I had lost a package worth $300. Even after this situation, i left a note for the UPS delivery person to come back the next day when im not around, but they kept on giving it to the people next door. This is very rude and unfair for the receivers and also senders.

Medical Shipment Pickup Failure
My job is to ship out samples to labs for oncology (cancer) patients involved in treatment studies. When we ship to Covance, we have to use UPS. Today was the second day in a row that the driver did not pick up the package. This is also the second day in a row where I called the UPS pickup for Covance and was informed that the driver was indeed dispatched. I am still waiting to hear back from the local office, but when I spoke to someone there yesterday, the guy said he talked to the driver. I am super ticked because these are samples for cancer patients trying out new treatments and their specimens are no longer viable (one specimen that was damaged was a BONE MARROW sample, which is painful to obtain). And the worst part is that Covance is the one who pays for this, and they will not let us use the much more reliable FedEx.

late deliveries
ups won`t honor their guarentees for their next day delivery.
they say they will deliver your package by 10:30 am the next day,
in my case they delivered my package after 3 pm the next day,
when I inquired about it, they call it tracking, they talked to the office where it was being delivered the office said the package was on the delivery truck at 7:05 am that morning, they called the driver and the driver said they were in another town about 15 miles away and still had another 25 deliveries to do until they would make the delivery, they also said it would be late in the afternoon before it would be delivered, it was delivered after 3pm that day.
when i went to my local office where I sent the package from and told them what had happened, they agreed that I should get my money back. well, i contacted their central home office, and told them what had happened, they made up a story about having bad weather and offered that as an excuse, and flately refused me. end of story.
I did try and go further with it, but I kept getting one of those auto mated answereing services that do nothing but give you a run around.
It isn`t that it is a lot of money, $34.60 but it is the point that they offer you a service and you pay for it and then they don`t do what they say they will.. i`am just tired of being ripped off.
thank you for listing, ken

wrong address
I was waiting for a car part from an online retailer who's only shipping method was UPS (Unbelievably Poor Standards), when it didn't arrive in the given time frame, I looked up their parcel tracker. To my surprise It had been delivered, and signed for! By someone else, somewhere else, the previous day. So I waited 'till Monday.
I called UPS (with no success getting through) and a huge wait before finally getting through to a human, not a useless recorded message (do these things ever actually have the option you need anyway?) Their tracking indicated that they had delivered it to xxxxx-120 St not xxxxx-116 St AND it was signed for by a “Moreau” (moron more accurately-how do you not check to see if a parcel is for you before accepting it?). The operator then had the gall to tell me I had to call the company that shipped the parts and get them to give a description of the package to UPS. This prompted the following thought: I DIDN'T SCREW UP DARLING. YOUR INCOMPETENT DRIVER DID. WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO CHASE IT? IT'S YOUR COMPANY'S FAULT, NOT MINE.
I managed to choke most of this back, but not all of it and was told that this was the only way...
So, rather than wait forever for a call back, I went and got the parts myself from the other address.
I will never use UPS again unless I have no other option. I will also do a lot of free (negative) advertising for them.
UPS show their incompetence all too often and there is no real way of lodging a complaint. This, in turn, often ends up reflecting badly on the shipper.

Management
UPS is a very abusive work enviorment i've been working there for 6 years. Everyday I'm threatened with termination, and harrassment if I don't do things their way and only their regardless if unethical illegal just do it. You need to get these packages out of here. Management is corrupt from top to bottom. Mangement encrouges the employees to be dishonest. I did'nt realize how corrupt UPS is, until I got disqualifed as a NYPD recurit. If any UPS employee reads this and is considering going into law enforcement your UPS history will be demerits on your evaluation. Law enforcement will give you a list of 46 laws. You will have to write down everyone one of those laws you broke regardless if you got caught or not. Because during the evalution process you will be asked if you broke anyone of those laws. Keep in mind you will hooked up to a lie dector and behavioral psychologist will be asking you questions. You can't lie because you will be caught. Two things UPS teaches it's workers is forgery, and lying is necessary. You will forge shippers signature and lie to investigators, those two things as an employee you do constantly. Those two things will get you disqualified from law enforcement. If you want to get in law enforcement you need to break those habits. Which you will know will not happen as long as you are employed by UPS. Their is only way out you quit. Before you quit call you union steward and document you attempted to stop the unethical behavior. The company will retaliate against you by harrassing you until you quit or get fired. As long as you have a papertrail. You're Law enforcement evaluation will show you have somekind integrity becuase you attempted to stop the unethical behavior.

Shipping Error & No Refund
UPS Does Not Pay for their Mistakes - I had a very important letter that needed to arrive at a local business the next day. Since I was close to a UPS location (actually, I have a mailbox there), I decided to ship my letter using UPS. Big Mistake! The next day the letter arrived at my door step. Although I had given the woman behind the counter everything she needed to get to the right business, she entered the information wrong and sent it to my home. Immediately, I returned to the UPS location and had them correct the issue. The guy behind the counter confirmed the woman had made a mistake and processed my letter again. When I asked for a refund since I paid for next service and it was processed incorrectly, I was told "No, we will not refund your money." I was very upset. For several years, I have had a mailbox at that location and that letter was for a recent job opportunity. Since UPS does not take full responsibility for their mistakes and does not care about my ability to maintain business relationships, I will no longer do business with them.

Negligent and irresponsible service
I was left a note by a UPS driver that he would deliver a package between 2pm and 5pm on Thursday. The driver did not show up between those times. When I called UPS I first got a center in Central America. I was told by that person that he couldn't do anything to help me find the truck with the package. The second time I called I spoke with someone in Newport News, VA who also told me that I had options: to pick it up at my convenience at another part of town or reschedule delivery and pay for it. Never mind that I stayed home all afternoon WAITING for a package that they said they would bring between certain times. It is obvious to me that UPS does not care about its customers because they did not even attempt to try and find this package. They did not even attempt to work with me halfway. I said I would like the package delivered in the morning and they said that "there was no way" that they could guarantee a package delivery. What about the packages that they deliver before noon? They were willing to make me do more work to get this package and let their drivers off the hook for not showing up with the excuse that there might be more traffic or the driver might have a heavier route so nothing is guaranteed.
I am Pissed off that UPS can be so negligent and irresponsible and inconsiderate in their business practices and the consumers have no recourse. I am complaining to everyone that I know about this because it is unfair. I spoke with a driver who said that they are able to find drivers and get the package information.

Ups got worst drivers on planet
Today is May 5, 2010. Approx. 1:17 EST @ 601 Manor Rd. Camp Hill, Pa. 17011, I was rinsing off my car and just about ready to put away the hose, when I turned around and had to hollar out loud several times, and was frigtened. An UPS brown delivery truck was making a delivery to my neighbor, he backed in so far into the large driveway, (about 70 foot long, he was just one arms lengths away from me, his backup lights on.) I had my back to the truck and was not paying attention to anyone but my work, and also our driveway is shared with our neighbor, but we are in the back, way back. The driver did not stop, and I was scared. He had already backed passed the neighbors car and my husbands truck which was past the neighbors car which is first. I was in front of my car, my back turned facing my car in my driveway. Its a private drive for my neighbor and I, so we rarely get anyone. Deliveries we do get, however in this instance the driver did not stop as I was there, a nd I felt as I did have my back to the truck, he shouldn't have backed so far into the driveway, as the driver did not want to get out the truck and just sit in the truck and give my neighbor the packages he had. He dosen;t get out of the truck, but he should not have backed up so far into our half of the driveway, so he didn't have to get out the truck and make an actual delivery outside his truck!!! He really did upset me and scared me in my own driveway. He was not delivering to my home, so why did he need to back up? I will supply pictures of our driveway if I need to to show you what I mean. Its one driveway, our neighbors home comes fist, and well inside the driveway, so the UPS driver didnt need to back up so far and then so far he scared me, and didn't want to stop the truck!!! My neighbor had to say something to the driver, who finally stopped the truck. Im in front my car my back to the truck, no need to worry about anyone driving up this far and then running me over, practically. I was one arms length away from the back of the tailights. My neighbor said the driver has a camera to see in the back, if so, then the driver, should have seen me, Im in my drive way, doing my thing, minding my business, and no need to have to run for my life, like maybe being in the road!!! Its a very long drive way, no need to back so far into my half of it, just so the driver didn't feel like getting out of it!! I want to complain to the local UPS, but no way to get thru, how do I do this, and also do I really get my complaint validated for something a bit lazy and scarey on the drivers part? help... I feel being in my own driveway, plenty of room, I shouldn't have to run and move out of the way, since I didn't hear the truck, also in my own driveway, I really do no pay attention to folks, I was in my own world and no need to have to run for my life anywhere, anyone understand where Im coming from? help...

Incompetent Delivery Service
I ordered a pair of shoes on June 8th 2010. The package was sent via UPS and it was out for delivery on June 10th. I live in an apartment so I called UPS and provided my buzzer number on June 10th morning. UPS CSR told me very clearly, that adding additional information to the package will not delay the delivery, as they will page the driver right away. I was at work and was constantly checking the UPS tracking website to see if it was delivered yet. I checked at 2pm and noticed it was delivered. The delivery confirmation says, "LEFT WITH WOMAN". I called home right away. To my surprise, my mother said there was no delivery. I called UPS, and was informed that the package was actually delivered to the WRONG address and will notify the distribution center ASAP. I soon received a call from UPS, a woman named, Michelle told me they will have the driver to retrieve my package on June 10th and delivery it to me on the same day. I waited and nothing showed up.
The next morning (June 11th), I called Michelle and she told me, that she thought she had paged the driver but apparently he did not receive it. Michelle repeated my address with my buzzer code to confirm if it was correct, and this information was sent to the driver. Soon after, I received a call from Michelle and was told; the driver will retrieve the package from the wrong address and deliver it to me later in the day.
I waited until 7pm and I called UPS and the CSR found out that the driver attempted a delivery on 6:39pm but was unable to deliver it because my name was not on the listing. I was very patient the whole time but by now I was very agitated. I gave my buzzer code number on the morning of June 10th AND Michelle had confirmed my address and buzzer code. I had already waited 2 days straight for a small package and cannot longer stand waiting anymore. I requested the package to be sent back to the shipper. I am displeased with the delivery service. Clearly, UPS and the driver made grave errors on such a simple task.
