Terrible place
January 24, 2009. I shopped Walmart in Carson City, Nevada, accompanied by my 16 year old daughter and 7 year old Autistic son. We bought only 12 items but could not find any self checkouts or any registers without very long lines. Many other shoppers seemed highly irritated, pushy and aggressive.
We entered a section where the majority of checkout sign posts read, '20 items or less'. We stood and waiting for about 15 minutes. Other people kept bumping into us to get around, due to the arrangement or placement of checkout registers.
Once we actually reached the counter to checkout - I realized the specific register I was at, was a '10 item or less' aisle, and all others surrounding that one, was '20 items or less'. The clerk was angry with me and slammed my items into bags. People trying to get to the '20 item' registers were completely blocking us in - we had no way out.
Due to the fact that we were surrounded by carts - we could not grab our bags on top of the spinning bagging thing. The clerk made no effort to hand us our bags. I had to contort myself over to grab our merchandise. I then had to yell, 'excuse me' to all the people who would not move, so that we could leave. I finally had to lift up the cart and push it through the people, slamming into other carts.
On the way outside, the bags started ripping and tearing. By the time I got to my car - which was very far out in the parking lot - the bags had completely ripped open and I was holding things to my chest.
Outside temperature was actually on the warm side that day - mid 40's. If it had been snowing or icy - I think our merchandise would have been all over the ground.
I can understand why someone died in 2008 at another Walmart in this country - this was a nightmare and a firehazard.
I don't care what low prices Walmart has in the future, I won't be back, ever.

Price
Have you check your reciept after you have paid for the items that you purchase from WalMart? They charge 10% tax, (7% and 3% tax). Why is that? Do check your reciept because some of the items that you are paying for are higher that what was on the display. An example: I went and bought a gallon of Milk which was for $3.39, when i check my reciept, i was charge $5.49 for a gallon of milk, At one time i was charge for an item twice. I do hope that every one check what was charge in your bill that you paid for, I know it is an inconvenient to ask for a refund for as little as less that a dollar, but they should not do this to us consumer, this company makes lots of profit and very wealthy... There is no need to cheat us on this prices! Some of the employee need to have a customer relationship meetings or classes, very unprofessional! I think if we were charge for an item and it was scaning for the wrong price, that item should be free!!!
My advice is: check your reciepts before leaving. Make sure you were charge correctly!

BAD LANGUAGE AND DRUG USE
I went to Walmart to talk to a Manager about a bad experience I encountered in the parking lot only to be confronted with an employee, name tag said: Jackie (lat name Beaulieu) was on a cell phone swearing and screaming at her boyfriend(another employee said) and it was so loud that you were forced to listen. After speaking to other employees-they said she was really High and loosing it. Then it turned out she walked to her car, stumbling. She was so thin and looked sickly I wanted to call the ambulance. She was doing some kind of drugs in her car right in the parking lot where people were shopping and leaving with children. Where are the security cameras and why isn't anyone who works there stopping this and firing her. I will never shop Walmart again I don't want to be in the middle of drug fights and people getting really hurt or killed over drugs. This is not the bad streets of New York this is a Shopping Store to buy food and prescriptions and clothes. WE SHOULD FEEL SAFE!!! I was so shocked that I never got to talk to the manager and left. I will never return.

LETTING DRUG ADDICTS AND DEALERS WORK IN THE STORE
After some research, I have come into some knowledge that was quite disturbing and really scary as a consumer. I would like to trust and know I am safe in the places I choose to spend my hard earned money. I found out that the Bristol Walmart is allowing drug transactions to take place in their parking lot and employees to do drugs and then go into work. I saw this with my own eyes and was horrified and never shopped there again. I am saying this as an honest citizen who would shop there. Not anymore. I saw the car that this was taken place in a tan/light grey plymouth shadow with a very skinny girl and very dirty, scary small guy fighting with each other outside the store and then smoking, I believe it was crack and then she put her apron on and went in the store. I could not make out her name but she worked third shift apparentely. I was leaving when the store was closing at 9:30-9:45 and she was going in at 10pm. I will find out her name but will never shop there again. Beware of people in Walmart because they are stealing to support their habits and may steal from you!

Wal-Mart Automotive Sucks - 2004 Chevy Trailblazer 4x4
Wal-Mart Automotive Sucks - 2004 Chevy Trailblazer 4x4
We took our car a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer to Walmart for it's regular oil change and vehicle checkup.During the checkup it came to our attention that the transmission dipstick had been broken off and they could not check the fluid in the transmission. They said they did not do it and that it most likely happened the oil change before which was also at a Walmart. At that time we were told by Barry (the service mgr) it was okay to drive the vehicle .One week later the transmission locked up and had to be towed to a transmission specialist who said the faleure was do to lack of fluid in the transmission. We feel that in fact the dipstick was broke off at the previous oil change by a walmart employee and he simply got rid of that part of the dipstick and signed off on the transmission to relieve himself of blame not telling us the the stick had been broken and unable to check the fluid. If he would have informed us of this issue it could have been solved with out the $2900 cost for a transmission rebuild. We filed a claim with CMI (Claims Management Inc.)Phone # 888-213-7534 (we dealt with a Barb there who was rude talked down to us and even called the mechanic at the transmission shop a liar and that the transmission had to have a leakage issue and she would have to deny the claim he explained to her that there were no leaks and it was a walmart topping off issue. When CMI received the statements from the walmart fluid checkers not mechanics (which barb at CMI called them) they had changed the statements made and told her that they never told us it was okay to drive the vehicle and did not recall placing blame on the previous Walmart oil change. We went to our Attorney's office on 2-27-09 and are in the process of suing Walmart and CMI.Please take our advice and never let Walmart fluid checkers touch your vehicle as the internet shows that they have more complaints than praises. This will be taken to the next level and will make it a life long goal to expose Walmart Automotive. We would love to start a class action suit against Walmart and CMI.If anyone reading this has had a problem with Walmart Automotive would like to join this class action please notify us at [email protected] as we have a attorney that would love to do it.
Consequences. Describe the economic or physical damage that resulted.
Transmission cost $2900
3 weeks without the vehicle
Treated like a idiot and lied to.

Video Game Return
Approximately 1 week ago my son (he's 10) purchased a DS video game, Madden 09'. Yesterday, 2/17/09 we attempted to return the item due to it having a "glitch" causing the game to not work properly. We had the original receipt and bag. At first I was told we had to exchange the item for the exact same item. Upon checking the game area in the Electronics Section, I found that they were out of the item. Upon returning to "Customer Service", I was then informed that my son still could not have his money back to allow him to purchase the game elsewhere. We were then informed that we had to pick out another game. When I objected to this, I was informed that the stores policy was exchange only due to the item being opened. I explained that there was no way to know the item was defective without opening it. At that time I asked to speak with a manager. The associate retrieved "someone" from the back room, who had no Walmart identification, yet claimed she was the manager. She also refused to refund my 10 year old son his money. When I attempted to inform her of the issue at hand, she continually spoke over me about Walmart's Return Policy on opened electronics. I then became irate and again attempted to explain how 1st I was told the policy was exchange for same item only, when that didn't work to their favor (due to being out of stock); 2nd I was told to pick another game. When I refused the 3rd thing I was told was that they would give us store credit. They (Walmart) got their money and were refusing to give a 10 year old a refund on a defective item. After being left with no other choice, but to take the "store credit", I informed my son that I would make good to him on the money/game that he was out. It doesn't say much when a large cooperation treats a 10 year old as if he was attempting to rip them off. Some cooperate image. I personally spend $2500 OR MORE a year at Walmart. Money I used to spend there on back to school clothes/supplies, birthdays, groceries, etc. If this is how they plan on treating their customers then I WILL shop elsewhere! Short of an apology to my son and me, as well as something for my son's aggravation by the way we were treated, Walmart has lost a family of spending and we will tell our extended family, friends and my co-workers, DO NOT SHOP AT WALMART!

Awful experience
We purchased a Durabrand Dual Screen Portable DVD player Model: PDV-722. The unit has been working but the internal battery quit charging and it will not stay on or run with the unit plugged into a wall outlet or the cigarette lighter in the vehicles. The unit is not suppose to require a battery to run and is suppose to run thru the AC/DC adapters. We cannot find a replacement battery and WalMart is no longer supporting the product, however, WalMart has them in their stores and is selling them.

Awful company
My husband works for Walmart, and this company has increasingly become an anti-family work environment.
This company made him stay extremely late on so many occasions, yet they only consider him part-time, thus he's not eligible for insurance benefits and that's not saying much because they make their very low-paid employees pay such high premiums for terrible insurance that we wouldn't be able to afford it anyway.
Another ripoff is that last year, they said the employees were probably going to receive a decent profit sharing amount (my husband's worked there a few years and never received any profit sharing). It was something like $3000 for full-timers and $1500 for part-timers. Then they said it would probably only be $200 or so, which is horrible. Turns out, no one received anything because they worked too much overtime. Well, my husband had to stay extremely late because the manager wouldn't let him go home, so he didn't get a bonus because if he had left to avoid overtime, he would have gotten fired.
Also, starting last year, Walmart started to keep its stores open on Thanksgiving DAY. Heck, even HEB closes that day for their employees to be with family.
This company sucks.
