Awful company
Up until February 2009, I was current and making payments on time to Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. February 2009, a family emergency set me back 1/2 of payment. Wells Fargo. I was referred to loss mitigation department who closed the case without speaking with me. The reason was the person called me twice and I did not return the call. No notification was since prior to closing the case.
Since they did not help me, I had to borrow the other 1/2 payment with an interest rate of 24% because my credit rating dropped due to the 1/2 payment and them reporting me late to the credit bureau. I was told that no late charges would be assessed and late charges were assessed. I sent them a payment of $4198.96 and was told that the money would not be deposited until a decision was made concerning the late payment in February 2009. The payment was cashed and a late payment is still on my account. Lack of integrity and lack of honesty and lack of helping a customer when the customer is trying to rectify the problem.
It must be duly noted that Wells Fargo Home Mortgage is not trying to help customers and please do not believe them. Only God can be trusted. People cannot be trusted. I took this time because I did not want the CEO of Wells Fargo to "hang himself" or commit suicide because of not knowing what his/her employees are doing. They are harassing people, hanging up the telephone, and yes acting like crooks and jerks. Why get offended when you are given the truth.
My request is for a reversal of the late fees because I was told that since I called and made payment arrangements there would be no late fees. The payment arrangement was negated March 9, 2009 because I only had March 2009 payment and not the other 1/2 payment. This was not my doing but the doing of an employee who made the payment arrangement with me. She was probably fired because she was really trying to help me resolve my situation. My second request is for Wells Fargo to contact all three credit bureaus and remove any negative information from my file. I have been in constant contact with them notifying them monthly of my situation and trying to resolve it without their help. I am requesting that the $111.96 is removed immediately, late charge assessed when the family emergency.actually occurred.

Fraud and scam
I posted several months ago about the nightmare Wells Fargo put us through trying to get a refinance closed. I thought it would end once we got in to closing to sign the paperwork. I was wrong. We just opened a whole new can of worms. We arrived at closing to find the paperwork was completely wrong and had to come back the next day, and it was still wrong. In the end, Wells Fargo owed us $395.00. Thankfully, we insisted they give us a sign letter to this effect. We were told we would receive a check in a week. That was March 27. it is now April 17 and surprise surprise, no check yet. We have tried contacting them and once again have gotten nothing but the run around. We are considering contacting an attorney to investigate our rights in this matter because we have just had enough. If we owed them $5 they would have the police knocking down our door. But when they owe us almost four hundred dollars, they don't seem too concerned about getting us our money. Spread the word, if you or someone you love are considering using Wells Fargo do the right thing...DON'T!!!

poor customer service
Wells Fargo customer service, loss mitigation department is a joke. I live in Cincinnati and their location is somewhere in California..I find this company to be elusive, unreliable, disorganized and just pathetic. We own 2 house (statistic), cant get any help from them on payment arrangements, we had a loss to property which insurance paid for, but put them on the check to endorse. I can't get the company to endorse this check. They want it sent to them to put in escrow...Yeah right!! I have already paid the contractors out of pocket. Now they want an inspector to come and make sure the work was completed. That is fine, but they will not tell me what company, and keep changing the date on how long company has to contact me. 5/3 bank has been easy and wonderful to deal with. I would NEVER recommend Wells Fargo to anyone. This has been an absolutely miserable relationship and experience to deal with...

taking money already loaned
Just warning people about Wells Fargo home equity loans. They will loan to you then take it away before a year has passed. We had been approved for a $100, 000 line of credit and they reduced it to $80, 000 before we were even notified. We have very good credit and have never missed a payment or had any slow pays.
We are right in the middle of doing home improvements and now are $20, 000 short. When this happens the contractor has already ordered the needed materials and when there is insufficient funds we are not unable to pay the said contractor therefore, the contractor can put a lien on our home until the materials are paid in full. We are not pleased with the way Wells Fargo is skimming off the top of the credit lines to pay back the Federal Government ONCE AGAIN AT OUR EXPENSE!!
YES, I AM PISSED OFF and will take my business somewhere else if the funds are not put back to the original terms.

Yes Last time I checked this is still America!!! I was born and raised here yet I walked in to my bank in the USA
and felt like I was in Mexico city. I live in the USA not Mexico yet my banks Posters are all in spanish with the exception
to some very small ones off to the side. I find this very disturding I would not mind 50/50 but not put before the English language.

On-Line Payment System
All Wells Fargo Auto Finance customers use cation when making on-line payments. Two months in a row I have made on-line payments for my monthly car payment that have been credit to another customer's account. My account information was entered correctly but the system read the account number wrong because somebody else's account number is similar to mind. The customer servce representatives are totally unhelpful and are in no hurry to track down the missing payment in order to credit it to your account because they have received their money. But in the mean time, they call you about not receiving payment (which was already made) because nobody entered a note on your account that payment is under investigation. Wells Fargo needs to use some of their bail out money to upgrade their on line payment system because the representatives said this happens from time to time (like that's supposed to make you feel better when it's your payment that got credited wrong and you're the one getting harassing phone calls).

Loan motifations
We are like most home owners. The company my lost his job when the company he work for 11 years went out of business. He then got another job and adter 2 months was laid off again. He then had to take a job making less money. In the meantime Wells Fargo informs us our mortgage payment is going to go up. I called the company and informed them we could not affford the payment and they informed me the steps that I needed to do for loan motifation. Let me tell you this is a big laugh on feb 27 2009 I sent them everthing they asked for. The next thing I recieved from them was a notice that they where going to raise my mortgage yet again. I called them again they said the information I sent was past 30 days old and I needed to resubmitt update paycheck stubs on 4/2/2009. I called them again today 4/23/2009 and they tell me it could take another 60 to 90 days for them to review my issues. This is an outrage I have a job that if my credit is determened bad I loss my job. I do not want to loss my house or job and as a tax payer that help bail this company out I feel riped off. I would never tell anyone to use this bank for anything not even to finance a dog house. They care nothing about the person making there payment by working there hardest. They only want to say people got loans by being dishonest. Let me know how you do that and while you are at it, how to get them to do what they promised the goverment the would.

Overcharged
I called Wells Fargo about a charge on my bank statement that I didn't recognize, and they answered my question. I had done this before many times for free, and thought nothing about it.
I check my online statement a couple days later to find a $2.00 charge for that phone call. It was the toll free number that allows a person to check balances, ... and to speak to an operator. I then called again, and spoke to another representative about this $2.00 charge. He said Wells Fargo charges for questions that could have been answered by the automatic teller.
There was no warning of this charge before a live operator picked up the phone. I think it is B.S., and want to warn everyone.

FRAUD
AFTER GOING TO THIS WEBSITE & REVEIWING ALL THE COMPLAINTS ON THIS BANKING INSTITUTE IT'S ABOUT TIME SOMEBODY DOES SOMETHING!!!
ON MARCH 23RD I PURCHASED A TRUCK FROM THIS GUY WHO HAD IT FINANCE THRU WELLS FARGO. ON THE PHONE THEY TOLD HIM & ME BOTH $6484.00 & THAT IT WOULD BE FASTER IF THEY TOOK IT DIRECTLY OUT OF MY ACCOUNT. STUPID ME ALLOWED THEM TO DO THIS. A FEW DAYS LATER THEY TOLD ME THAT IT TAKES 10 BUSINESS DAYS FOR LEIN HOLDER RELEASE. NOW HERE IT IS APRIL 14TH & WE CALL THEM AFTER NOT EVER RECEIVING THE RELEASE & WAS TOLD THAT $111.00 WAS STILL OWED BEFORE THE LEIN RELEASE COULD GO OUT. I TOLD THEM THAT WE HAD AGREED ON THE PRICE OF $6484.00 & I'M NOT LETTING THEM TAKE ANOTHER DIME OUT OF MY ACCOUNT. THE RUDE SUPERVISOR TOLD ME THAT I JUST SPENT $6484.00 FOR NOTHING THEN. I'M APPALLED @ HOW THEY TREAT PEOPLE. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I WENT STRAIGHT TO MY LAWYER & WE'RE STARTING THE PROCESS NOW. THEY ARE DRAWING INTEREST ON MY MONEY & THEY'RE GOING TO PAY ME EVERY SINGLE PENNY OF IT. THE WORST PART IS THE GUY I BOUGHT THE TRUCK FROM HAD A SEVERE STROKE IN FEBRUARY LEAVING HIS WHOLE LEFT SIDE PARALYZED. SO HE IS NOW LIVING ON NO INCOME UNTIL HIS DISABILITY KICKS IN. HE HAD THE TRUCK & CAR FINANCED THRU WELLS FARGO & HIS ACCOUNTS WAS ALWAYS IN GOOD STANDING UNTIL HIS STROKE. THEY THINK HE SHOULD GET A JOB & PAY THEM THE $111.00 OFF. THIS JUST MAKES ME SICK & SOMETHING HAS TO STOP THESE CORRUPT INDIVIDUALS. I OWN A BUSINESS & BELEIVE ME I DON'T GO TO THE GOVERMENT FOR A BAIL OUT SO WHY SHOULD I PAY THEM MORE THAN WHAT WAS AGREED ON??

Overcharged
I was so fed up with Wells Fargo and their strange overdraft fees I began searching online for others who may have had the same situation as me. I was surprised to see how many people were complaining and relieved because I know I am not overdrawing my account and just crazy. I have had overdraft fees when my account goes low and then purchases keep moving around as to which date they actually come in. Wells Fargo internet banking keeps changing the dates or times when things post or come in. Things get moved around so that your deposits may or may not actually be entered with a correct date/time. So by moving the deposit time around on any given day, your account will go into the negative.
Here's my most recent incident.
I had money in my account and transferred my last 20.00 from savings to checking on Monday last week, 3-23-09. By Tuesday I had six dollars in my account with nothing coming in. I checked off all my purchases or bills before I left for work and checked the internet against my register. Everything had gone through. I spent four dollars for lunch. The next day I dropped in 26.00 just to spend if I wanted. All week my account was fine. Never did it show that I was overdrawn and according to my accounting I was never overdrawn. By Friday morning I had $20.89 as I knew I should. At 3:20 pm I had two bounced check fees.
What happened supposedly was that I bounced that four dollar lunch expense on Tuesday and the fees didn't show up until Friday afternoon but one of the fees was dated for Thursday. I did not see an overdraft on Thursday. Never, during the week, did my account show I was overdrawn. I could have went to the bank to talk with someone they could have corrected it if I saw the fee. How is it that a bank can consider you overdrawn but wait 3 days to let you know? I could have really messed up with having an overdrawn account for 3 days and not even knowing it because it doesn't show up for 3 days to even let me review it.
During the week all the purchases kept re-arranging themselves. I believe there is some formula that knows when I am low and re-arranges everything so I do bounce a check. I keep telling the Bank Manager that I want true accounting and whatever this is - it's not true accounting. Whatever comes in first needs to be put in the account first and whatever purchase come in first need to be paid in the order they come in. They said they pay the biggest bills first. It's my money I want the bank to be a bank. I am entrusting them to handle my money.
When a deposit hits the account in the morning and then purchases come after that deposit, they should be covered. This is not what is happening at Wells Fargo. Your deposit of cash may actually be moved to later in the afternoon and then your purchases may bounce.
I am not spending before money is in my account. I monitor my account several times a day because I have had so much trouble with Wells Fargo.
I am fed up with them. I'm tired of the bank manager telling me that I just don't know how to balance my account. I have believed for a while that there was some formula in their system that knows what to do when I am low on my account - not overdrawn - but the funds are low. I have had this bounced fee situation going on for a while and it happens about every four months and only when I am low.
I also have two bills that come into my account on a specified date. Then they drop off for a couple of days and come back in. Doesn't that seem strange? The bank blames it on the companies that I am paying and says that it is not their problem and it's really the companies that are doing this that are at fault? Ummm really? None of my other friends with banking accounts at other banks have this problem. Bills don't pop on and off at random.
I am interested in pursuing a class action suit against them as there are so many other people, on various sites, that are saying the same thing about overdrafts as well as strange mortgage situations. I am tired of being screwed by the man and then bailing them out.
I do not want to here people say that I can not balance my account. I live paycheck to paycheck like most people and manage my money to the last penny. I feel as though the people who are making sarcastic remarks probably never have had just six dollars in their account. I'm sure they have thousands and just think those of us that complain are idiots.
I'm mad as hell and I'm not taking it anymore!
Please write to the BBB and the Attorney General of your state and the Federal Trade Commission. I will be pursuing a class action suit.
