fradulent insurance sales
I was reeled in by wirefly through their fabulous free phone deals and purchased 3- palm Centro phones with insurance and 2 year contracts with Sprint. I loved my phone and had no idea about the insurance until I lost my phone at a football game and tried to get a replacement. I was denied due to Negligence. Yes, it was my fault that my phone fell out of my case in a porta potty and the insurance company made sure to let me know. The worst part is that when i purchased the insurance, i made sure to ask if it was the same as if i paid a monthly fee and was told yes. The reality is that i was ripped off and now Sprint won't let me purchase insurance with them because i went through Wirefly. I could never talk to a human on the phone with either company. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT A PRIORITY. DO NOT PURCHASE PHONES FROM THEM.

Rip off
I have now used Wirefly twice to purchase cell phone contracts (more fool me), suckered in by their "free phone" offer. Not only do they make their stipulations for redeeming the rebate virtually impossible (e.g. send a copy of the bill not less than 150 days but no more than 180 days after the phone has been activated etc.) you'll find yourself sitting with a calendar counting off days trying to figure out which bill to send. Then if you're lucky enough to get that right - they might (big "might")send you a preloaded debit card which has an expiration date of about 1 month.
More likely you will discover (as I did) that the company they hired to do the rebates has gone bankrupt and then Wirefly will take no further responsibility.
Oh and if you complain loudly enough, "to show good faith" they might send you a credit for $100 to purchase accessories from their site - one catch though - they'll send it the evening of the day it expires! Even better, I also received a credit voucher in the mail - the letter was dated 5/9/08 but the post mark was 5/29 - expiration date of the credit ...you guessed it... 5/30/08.
This company is should be called Wirefly-by-night. All the customer service people are based in India and will do nothing to help you. Avoid this company like the plague!

Scam and cheating
Okay, here is a new one I have not seen. Apparently our friends at wirefly have a new scam going on. Back in December, I purchased 2 phones from wirefly. They sent me 1 phone and informed me that the other phone was on back-order. A couple of days later I received a call from a wirefly rep asking if I would consider a different phone. I took what they had and I thought all was well. When I went to use the phones, I realized I did not have a local phone number on either phone. The wirefly rep was called and they told me to call my local phone company to get the number added to the local calling area...
I work close to a T-Mobile store so I took the phone to them. I figured they would know more about the problem than the joker on the phone. The t-mobile guy said I had 3 lines of service on my account yet I only had 2 phones. He also said the SIM cards were set up wrong and he swapped them out for me.
A couple of months go by and I receive a letter from wirefly saying I've canceled a phone and I was in violation of my contract. As it turns out, they are trying to get me to pay $250 for a phone they never shipped. On top of that, I never received the $250 rebate on either of the phones I did actually receive. I have no intention to pay wirefly for something they never sent to me.
BEWARE OF WIREFLY.com... Lesson learned. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is...

Avoid Wirefly!
After going back and forth with Wirefly Live Chat and emails to customer support, they will not replace a defective cell phone charger without me first paying for a new one, sending the defective one back, and then "maybe" refunding my cost of the new one.
These people put up a good front until they sell you something, and then "good luck!"
There are many others out there who are respectable and trustworthy. My advice is AVOID WIREFLY!!!
