I just bought my first HD tv and was excited to come home and call Dish to upgrade my DVR service. I was told that I had to pay 500. I was told that I have to actually BUY the receiver, not just lease like I currently do. I asked if there were any other options as I was already planning to cancel my account due to previous customer service experiences that SUCKED. The CSR was uninformed and I asked to speak to his manager. His manager was rude and disrespectful. He even went as far as to call me delusional and asked me what I was smoking.
