A vintage fender was shipped via UPS - I usually use USPS but thought I would try a UPS discount coupon. The fender was bent in transit - accordioned is more like it. The representative thought it must have been hit by a major shipment somewhere along the UPS belt line. Tried to file a claim but was told I was out of luck as the insurance is void since 'I packed it myself'. (The cost for UPS to 'pack it' is more than the value of the item being shipped.)
