Management at my store is wonderful, it's CORPORATE I have a problem with. They make changes to the procedures that are inefficient, tedious, and half the time don't make any sense, and then expect people to follow their rules like they're gods even when it's screwing everything up. I've worked retail for years, and in my experience, if you do your job correctly, and you can find optimum ways of being efficient, then that's what matters.
