My Kenmore Dishwasher caught fire 3/29/2011, Model #665.16382300, serial #FP4403519. The control panel caught fire so did electrical wires. My husband looked at it more closely today and said we are lucky the house didn't burn down, and that I was at home and noticing soon enough. I ran and turned all circuit breakers off, after it cooled off I unscrewed the panel where the Control panel is and unhooked all wires. We are so lucky my family and the animals are OK.
