When I opened my IRA account, they didn't give me any paper work except for a receipt, hence creating a hassle when I tried to transfer it to another institution. When I went to the bank and deposited (cash) for my IRA account, I didn't see the amount from my online account even after 2 days so I emailed customer service. They replied that there was no record of my deposit whatsover! Horrified, I had to come back to the bank and luckily I still retained the receipt with me.
