My daughter was diagnoised with ADHD. She is 5 years old and we started this process when she turned 4 years old. We have been through counselling and behavior modifications and extensive testing and she is now 5 years old and the doctor feels it is safe for her to be on vyvanse now and medco will not cover this medication because of her age. They told me that the pre-authorization was denied because she is 5 and this medicine is recommended for 6 and older. I didn't realize that medco employees went to medical school and are doctors.
