My Dad had a prepaid Verizon phone. He died shortly after paying Verizon $181.00. We tried to get the phone disconnected and the $160 left on his account refunded. Verizon refused, stating that if the entire amount of the original prepayment was still on the account, they could do it, but since some of the money was used, they cannot refund ANY of it.
