Had problems with my Toshiba Satellite laptop having upgraded to Windows 7 approximately 10 months ago. Toshiba tech support recommended I do a system restore and reinstall the original operating system. I cautioned them that this would erase my entire hard drive, including my system backup I had made on the laptop itself.
