My father, who is 85, had a CD at Bank of America in Franklin Township, NJ. The maturity date was Tuesday - May 31, 2011 and the total amount in it was $10, 200. He went there on that date to close it out. A female representative told him that the money was not available just yet. She told him to come back on Thursday - June 2nd, which he did. Once there he was told by a male representative not only that the money was still not available, but that the total amount in the CD was $1, 000.
