I parked in the lot by my school, University of Houston-Downtown, with a valid surface lot parking permit. There were many other vehicles with similar plaques on the rearview mirror, however, my car got booted. After waiting forty minutes in the heat, a man from Boot Man Inc showed up in an unmarked vehicle and told me that I had to pay 113.00 dollars if I wanted to drive my car off the lot.
