After 6 months of being in a short sale of my condo, Bank of America accepted the cash offer, signed all approval letters and everything was proceeding as normal. All monies were in escrow and the new buyers were ready to move in. Four days before we were to close, Bank of America sent an email (which I have) stating they now wanted $10, 000.00 more for the property because the "investor" felt the buyers had more money and that they could put into the deal.
