Serendipity House, Surfside Beach, SC

I rented the "Serendipity House" in Surfside Beach, SC, Oceanside Village, through VRBO (although his property is listed on other sites), Mr. Ed Kydd, in mid-July, 2009. Mr. Kydd actually resides in New Hampshire and has people in the Myrtle Beach area clean the unit between renters. I had signed a contract with the owner and later he sent me an email stating that he didn't know that the tax in SC had risen to 12% and he required an additional $16.00 from me. Yep, I am too trusting. I usually research these things, but I didn't this time, to my dismay. As most of the complaints herein, my credit card was charge $78.93 with an additional .63 cent International Transfer Fee. I too tried to get my money back, but to no avail. I was, however, offered $40 off my next 3 months of product. How nice is that!!! I told them that I had not yet received the product. They told me that I had a 14 day trial period.
