I had an active Goodyear credit Card account that I chose to close in July of 2008. At that time, my APR was 22.36% on purchases and approximately 26 % on cash advances. My account was in good standing when I decided to close it. Recently, I received a bill and discovered that my interest rate had been raised to 24.9% on purchases and 29.9 % on cash advances.
