It appears Chase has targeted credit card holders that have a low APR of 3.99-4.99) to increase their minimum payment amount from 2% to 5% of Principal balance. This is I am sure is totally unexpected to a lot of consumers and appears their motive is to cause people to default in making their minimum payment so they can then charge them penalties and increase their rate.
