We applied for a home mortgage loan modification, its been 7 months and no word. Knew we may never be able to afford home so we decided to try and sell home to avoid foreclosure. Called Chase and they said we owed 215, 000 on loan so we listed the home. Sold home (2 homes next door have been up for sale for over a year and one was foreclosed on) Title company gets final payoff and we now owe 229, 000, original loan was 217, 000 and have paid on it for over 3 years.
