I had no idea that these companies could do this. I just so happened to watch on the news the other day that the statue of limitations is now 4 years to try and collect old debt. I received a letter from RJM from an acct back in 1999 that belonged to my deceased husband, saying that I have 3 options of paying off this debt to Wells Fargo for incifficient funds.
