UPS delivery service has continued to get worse over the last several years. I speak here of not just MY service, but UPS's general corporate approach to service. Their philosophy is that the shipper pays the bill, so recipients can take a hike. The standard practice by drivers in my area is to toss the package near the door and leave without even bothering to knock. My most recent example. Shipper sends something requiring my signature.
